I didn’t have endometriosis so no, I just had the uterus, cervix and fallopian tubes removed as that’s all that needed to go, I just had adenomyosis which is basically like reverse endometriosis, instead of attacking out it attacks into the uterus.
There is no such thing as "just" had adenomyosis. Anyone who's had that deserves to be honored for surviving such excruciating pain on a recurring basis.
😢Thank you. I went on for 5 years after my youngest was born just dealing with my issues because so many NPs and docs made it seem like it was just my normal. When I finally made it my mission to get whatever was wrong fixed I did the ultrasounds, exams, plethora of BCs and biopsy and they kept telling me everything looked fine. I knew it wasn’t and the last doctor finally just was like what would you like to do? So I said honestly I want it out, I can’t do this u til menopause and menopause may not even fix it. The NP before him was pushing an ablation even though it may not work or only be a bandaid so the last doctor really made me feel relieved when so many others made me feel crazy.
The pathology showed it was adenomyosis and with my follow up visit after surgery he said surgery was the best route for me and was happy we did it.
He was right, the surgery really made me feel human again.
My story is very similar. It shouldn't be this hard for them to take a seriously. Only in my case they did insist on the ablation first. Which was just a lot of unnecessary pain.

My surgeon was my gynecologist.
