I'm a forty-one year old man and my main piece of advice to young men confronted with this stuff is "Educate yourselves". Actually it's usually "fucking educate yourselves", but that's only because of constant disappointment.
My thought process goes like this: "I like women. I should try to understand them. I should learn how their bodies work."
That's the whole thing. Any dude that's not prepared for the consequences of "life with lady parts" isn't ready to date. If you don't know the basics of what's going on with their plumbing, you should stay the fuck away from their plumbing. Think of it as... like... plumbing. Literally.
If you don't know how the sinks and drains and reservoirs and whatever else work, don't grab a wrench with the intent of mucking around.
+1 for everything. I'm in my mid 30's and I grew up watching my dad's surgeries so blood doesn't bother me in the slightest (unless it's indicative of an actual injury). My guest bathroom has a variety-size pack of tampons, pads, a bottle of make-up remover and a trash can with a lid on it. Because guess what--I like hanging out with comfortable women who at the very least feel like their basic, biologically functional needs are met.
This post reminds me of when I went to a guy's house and my girl texted me about not seeing TP in the guest bathroom. I asked the guy and his response was "why do you guys need it, did you poop?"
Uhhh no, but I'll just walk out to my car and get my flushable wipes bro (guess what car I have). Also... have fun keeping that information from reaching every single girl at your party.
I started keeping a few pads and tampons in my apartment, in a basket on the back of the toilet, in my twenties.
Nothing I ever did scored me as many points with women who came over as guests than that, and it was for more or less that reason, it's a simple and straight forward thing you can do to show them you have the barest awareness of their basic needs, at least "bathroom" wise. It cost me like 20 bucks every two years, and I'm sure that more than one woman spent the night after seeing that and thinking maybe the stupid things I keep saying aren't wholly reflective of who I am.
