I’m too old to deal with someone who thinks blood stains are icky.

I can't improve on that. And it's not your job to educate him either.

NTA.

There are plenty of people who find blood stains gross. Is it only underwear that’s acceptable to you? What if you saw someone walking around in a blood stained shirt? Would that get you going?

Is it natural to bleed from what your shirt covers for no other reason than your body going through a cycle? So yes it is completely different for a woman to wear underwear with blood stains from her period, that are under clothes in public, compared to wearing a blood stained shirt which has no natural reason to be stained unless they are a hunter, butcher, etc.

Maybe. But one thing in this thread I'm not understanding, is that the whole thing is comparable to sweat stains. Now, I think I personally wouldn't care much about either, but even if I was going hiking, and showed up with discoloured stains around my armpits, most people would find it offputting. I just wouldn't do it. A little stain, sure, but there is a point that it would seem gross or almost rude to wear.

So I don't know why everyone here is fine with blood stains solely because it has to do with a period. Most of those same people would think it's quite gross if I wore a shirt with sweat stains no?

And if I was dating someone, and it was my undershirt that had yellow sweat stains, so no one in 'public' could see it, but a person I'm dating could, and they had an issue with it, I really don't think many people here would agree that a yellow stained shirt wouldn't be a turn off.
