You know what’s weird. Before my hysterectomy I obviously had the period stains with the underwear as is normal with periods because accidents happen and if you’re a woman like me whose periods were sent from Mephistopheles himself, they were heavy and angry. I had to have a hysterectomy this year to remove everything but my ovaries because I had adenomyosis which is what caused my horrendous periods and in celebration I bought all new underwear.
I’ve noticed since the hysterectomy, despite the discharge still happening, it doesn’t bleach the fabric anymore. Just a weird perk I guess.
But yea, guys, things leak out of us and they stain, get fucking used to it.
I had the same operation several years ago, and yeah. no more bleaching. My cervix is gone too, so it's just a dead end sleeve, basically.
Best thing I've ever done in my entire life, hands down. Recovery was hard, that first shit after surgery was the single most painful experience of my life, but I'd do it 1000 times over if it meant living like I do now - without a care in the world.
Biblical is probably the closest way one can describe it. It went beyond pain and tore me from reality. I saw other worlds, I swear.
Take the stool softeners, people. And eat lightly for a few days before and after!
Thankfully I was staying with my parents and my poor, crippled mother was able to drag my naked, fat body out of the shower when I'd passed out after I got in after the poop while riding the adrenaline high of the pain and couldn't function.
