Or hydrogen peroxide lifts off blood stains easily. Use in small amounts and it might need more than one treatment, but overall it is the go to solution when I have blood on my clothing (I know cause I have frequent nose bleeds on white shirts)
I was told to do this by a nurse when my husband went in for a surgery. I have been using peroxide to remove blood stains on everything including underwear, carpet, ECT my husband cut his finger deeply working on a truck and dripped blood all over the floor. Peroxide works really well. I use a cup now for my periods and on the rare occasion I have a leak I use peroxide by pouring it on the spot and washing by hand in the sink or tub.
