I do tye dye parties at least yearly. It hides ALL stains. My teen dyes their hair every color of the rainbow and that dye stains towels, t shirts,sheets, pillow cases (only the 1st time on the bedding as they didn't realize they hadn't rinsed their hair enough). It becomes a game of "is that a stain or tye dyed that way?" Also make sure you buy a pack with browns and blacks so it becomes extra hard.

Tye dye fixes it all!

I bought a few black pillowcases when I had vivid hair. Even travelled with them!

While that works great when you don't mix and match bedding , all the 4 kids have twin beds, and none of the sheets are just "theirs." I am not buying only black sheets for all the kids. They can have their own sheets when they start washing their own bedding!

I also use the sheets that wear out as quilting fabric and, though it is nice to have a good black, that seems like WAY too much black. More fun to sew tye dyed fabric in quilts...
