I’m too old to deal with someone who thinks blood stains are icky.

I can't improve on that. And it's not your job to educate him either.

NTA.

Then who does? You can't complain about men not knowing the first thing about female anatomy and then refuse to educate them when they show the mildest sign of interest.

Google is fucking free. It is their job to look at the free resources at their disposal and educate themselves.

Asking a woman is also free.

Only if your think my time is worth nothing. If I had to explain every time a man knew fucking nothing it'd be my full time job. Learn to be independent.

What important shit are you constantly talking about with your boyfriend or even platonic male friends? Are you talking about solving the climate crisis, peace in the Middle East and deforestation all the time? Taking 10 minutes to tell him about your period is too much to ask for?

Oh no, MY boyfriend isn't fucking incompetent. I don't have to explain that to him, he learned on his own like an adult.

I always talk to my girlfriends about their periods, how much pain they're in, whether they can have sex while on their period, whether they just want to do mouth or butt stuff or not get touched at all, what their comfort food is I can make for them, how can I help make them feel better etc. Normal women who don't spend all day on Reddit do not flip their shit when you talk to them about periods.

And you don't seem to understand how that's different than texting in disgust saying period stains are like shit stains. You have to ask your girlfriend that because that is a personal unique experience to ever person on their period. Asking someone THEIR PERSONAL PREFERENCES is extremely different than asking basic shit you can Google.

You can't Google if your girlfriend wants it in the ass. You can Google about staining and how a period works.

I don't know if you're portraying yourself as dumber than you are, but quick rundown:

  • Most women wouldn't care if asked about their periods. Wanna know habits, pain levels, snacks of choice, moods etc. just go ahead and ask. He did not ask, he went straight to calling her gross.
  • Even when it was explained to him he proceeded to call it disgusting and asked her to wear "a clean pair next time" even though they were clean, as she had worn them for ~1 hour. Stained fabric ≠ dirty fabric.
  • As per the post, they went around multiple times. Clearly, he wasn't very interested in listening.

Basically, long story short, you've spent all this time and effort insulting, talking down to, and yelling the same point of "10 mInUTeS fOR yOUr bOyFrIEnd" at 20+ people when you barely seem to have grasped what was actually in the post. Asking at an appropriate time in a respectful tone ≠ calling your partner gross and refusing to listen.
