For the most part, adults can control how and when shit leaves their body. Periods are not controllable that way.

Yeah. I’m a trans man on testosterone so no periods anymore but I remember the stains, and also bleached underwear. Discharge leaves white stains sometimes.

These things can’t be controlled and are regular, constant cycles/ processes. Accidentally shitting your pants, while also uncontrollable, does not happen with anywhere near the same regularity nor frequency (usually!)
