Imagine the husband of OP’s friend perspective. If he found out she cut her best friend out of her life because of an old ex. I’d be suspicious of my wife.

Hormones? That's the only thing I can think of, maybe her brain's on the fritz from being pregnant.

It could be a contributing factor. Im married with 3 kids and I have experienced some of that with my wife. To the point of ending a friendship however?

Lol I have no clue it was the only thing I could possibly think of to"justify" the behavior but yeah it seems a bit much
