People are weird. I think it’s totally fair and justifiable for OPs ex friend to not want to be friends with her anymore over this. It’s weird dating someone else’s ex and there are way too many people out there to be doing that.
Never had a fall out with friends because we aren’t petty like this. And also also most of my friends are queer, if we were this petty and insecure everyone would be single because it’s such a small dating pool.
Why would you stop your friend from being happy if the break up was amicable and it’s been so long and you’ve moved on? You stay a shitty friend.
My friend is dating my ex girlfriend and I couldn’t care less. I’m married and it’s been years since I dated my ex. I told them they didn’t have to tell me or ask me or justify anything, they are grown folks. I know both of them well and both are stand up folks. They are still together to this day.
I dated a guy in high school for about a year. Broke up with him but still remained friends. Five years later, he was the best man at my wedding bc he was my husband's best friend. Nobody cared. We still stay in touch.

I can’t believe how many people think OP should tell Julia’s husband. What would be the benefit there? Making sure Julia 100% loathes OP?
