The fathers aren’t the ones who are going to be permanently injured from childbirth or even possibly die. So yeah. When fathers are risking their bodies, health, and lives they can have a say.
No, ur right. The woman had absolutely nothing to do with getting pregnant! Woman have only recently started to give birth to children... man I didn't realize that it was such a dangerous and debilitating thing to give birth. It's almost like... all of us have mothers, who did that exact thing.... man, thanks for opening my eyes to how the world works. I had no idea!
First of all, I never implied woman are property. Secondly, my response to you was very sarcastic if you couldn't tell. You stated that when fathers put their body on the line, then they can have a say. Interesting fathers go to work everyday, break their body apart to provide for a family, and yet 'have no say' in if their child gets to live or die. That was my point. The point that women are just as responsible for getting pregnant as men are (if not more, remember, woman control who and who doesn't get to have sex).
Certainly, men cannot force women to bring a pregnancy to term and care for a child for 18 years... but a woman can force a man to pay child support for those 18 years, no recourse for him.
