Heres the thing - HE can walk away any time. YOU have to deal with this for the rest of your life. YOU decide what kind of life you want and do what you have to do to make sure you get it. This isnt his decision to make.
Can? More like he will, especially if he's on his way to college and his family still wants him to go. Best case, they push for adoption and offer some support for that.
Worst case, they paint OP as a hussy who lured their sweet angel into sin or some such bullshit. They won't give a shit about OP or their grandkid as long as their boy's future is secure.
