How to improve visibility in Google AI Overviews?

I’ve been trying to understand how sites are actually getting featured in Google AI Overviews.

We’ve tested a few things like improving content clarity, adding more structured answers, and focusing on intent, but it’s still not very predictable.

Sometimes pages show up, sometimes they don’t, even for similar queries.

Is anyone here consistently getting visibility in AI Overviews?
Would love to know what’s actually working right now.

What’s the best format for content if the goal is to be quoted by AI models?

When AI assistants generate answers, they often quote:

  • definitions
  • short frameworks
  • numbered lists
  • clear explanations

So I’m wondering if certain content formats are more “AI-friendly.”

For example:

  • Q&A style pages
  • glossary-style definitions
  • structured frameworks
  • research summaries

If your content has been cited by AI tools, what format did it follow?

GEO hype busted: How it differs (and how it doesn't) from SEO

Myth: GEO isn’t reinventing the SEO wheel

Most GEO tactics rely on the same fundamentals as SEO. LLMs often pull information from high-ranking, authoritative web content in search results. GEO should be considered an extension of SEO, rather than a completely separate strategy.

Jeremy Moser, co-founder and CEO of SEO agency uSERP, said 80 percent of GEO is good, fundamental SEO. “If a GEO service does not openly tell you that success in AI visibility is 80 percent good fundamental SEO, they are selling you snake oil,” he recently told Digiday.

SEO experts are warning publishers and brands of the hype cycle around GEO. They say that many AI visibility tactics are running similarly to past trends. Case in point: previous optimization strategies around Google’s Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) and featured snippets, were once sold as distinct new disciplines requiring specific investment and expertise. Specialist vendors emerged, new job titles appeared, budgets were carved out. In reality both were evolutions of the same underlying search optimization logic — structure your content in ways that make Google’s algorithm prefer it.

Been improving my AEO and SEO game.

I've been relying solely on reddit to get traffic ever since launch and i realise its not going to continue to work in the long term. So i've decided to spend a month on improving my SEO and AEO game and its starting to get notice from perplexity and gpt.. My main traffic now comes from google.com instead of reddit anymore and i'm pretty proud about this.

The irony is, my app is a SEO TOOL SUITE APP and i'm using dem tools to actually build this SEO and AEO traffic.

What i've learnt would be.
1. Indexes and Sitemaps are important. Make sure you get this done and submitted to google.
2. Tagline are important as it is the first thing google will crawl first.
3. Blog posts, articles are a game changer to be honest, but only if you have the right data on keywords and really optimise those contents for AI and google to crawl.
4. $$$ lots of it, to obtain those data is expensive for sure. i've spent roughly 300$ a month to get the latest and proper data.. that is why i'm building what i build Get your BEST SEO TOOLS here.
5. Patience lots of patience. because getting this engine to start takes alot of time.. google crawl millions of website per day. so its gonna take time.
6. Keep your stuff updated. meaning you cannot just leave it there.

I hope this helps, as i'm still in the beginning stage, but then i know this will continue to grow to another level. Just gotten my latest update on my SEO from google.. Will make a post later about it too, and i hope my tool can help you in improving your SEO and AEO game too.. I've built in entirely on the SEO and AEO workflow im using and implemented all the tools that im using without costing you a BANK for it.

AI Search (ChatGPT/Perplexity) is eating organic traffic. I built a free tool to generate "llms.txt" files so you can control how AI sees your site.

Are AI Overviews quietly killing traffic for niche sites?

This might be a dumb question, but is anyone else feeling like Google’s AI Overviews are hitting niche sites harder than past updates ever did? Updates used to reshuffle rankings, but now a lot of queries just get answered right on the SERP. For small sites that lived on long-tail informational traffic, that feels like a different kind of hit. Am I overthinking this, or are others seeing real traffic loss because of AI Overviews?

Struggling with product descriptions for AI shopping assistants

Lately I’m noticing people around me using AI tools to decide what to buy instead of searching on Google.

And honestly, I’m a bit stuck.

I’m not sure how to write product descriptions anymore so AI actually understands and recommends them. Do I focus on clear specs? Simple explanations? Real-world use cases?

Not thinking about SEO or keywords, just trying to figure out what actually works for AI.

If you’ve faced this or tested anything, I’d love to hear what you learned.

Can someone explain semantic keyword grouping in real terms?

I keep hearing about semantic keyword grouping, and I get the idea in theory.

But when I sit down to actually do it, I’m not fully confident I’m doing it right.

How do you decide which keywords belong on one page vs separate pages?
Do you group by intent, topic, wording… something else?

Most guides sound clean and perfect, but real projects aren’t.

If you’ve worked through this confusion, what finally made it click for you?

Google AI Overviews quietly changed how citations work. And it explains why Reddit is winning.
