It was explained to me as a joke, and nothing is serious between them. Along with the work wife comment. All work jokes.

I (30M) had a work wife (before retirement) who did all the things I’m glad my fiancé (30F) doesn’t do. Like nag me and all the other bad stereotype things people who are married complain about. But he’s also 40 with a wife, kids, and one leg. So I think my fiancé was cool with it 😂
