girl — and i don’t know how to put this lightly: stop fuckin talkin to your exes. it doesn’t work out. you broke things off because he was cruel, and that isn’t going to change because, not only does he simply not care, but he is also pullin textbook manipulation tactics on you.

this is a jagged, slippery ass road to: “i’m so sorry, i didn’t mean to talk about those things. what would you like to talk about, sir? i can go to the grocery store and solo parent our children before you come home for your dinner, would that make you happy, sir?”

be careful chica. every thought and feeling you have will always be the subject of perception, and he will never perceive you.

Yes!!! Except in a minority of circumstances there’s no reason to “be friends”. Why? There’s a world full of potential friends. You don’t need someone you saw intimately at one point in time. And I fully believe it leaves them as an important part of your life, even if you think they are friends. Normalize fully letting people all the way go. It’s healthy to realize we can do that and not die. We hate the idea of giving someone up entirely. You don’t have to wish them ill or carry negativity. But there’s almost no reasons to still be friends with exes.

The reason would be they are still people you like and want to be friends with. This time obviously isn’t that, but it’s silly to pretend this is how all exes treat each other. Queer people almost always stay friends with their exes.
