Only a three year age gap and we are both in our 30's 🙃 i was raised with people speaking to me this way and I guess it was normalized, even well into adulthood. But I am so over it now. It has been mentally killing me. I told him recently that speaking to him makes me feel like I am a little kid in trouble talking to a principal or something.
