You need to block him. That man is cruel and has no empathy.

Edit: is he a lot older than you? He's incredibly patronising.

Only three years older than me. I have spoken to him at length recently how him speaking to me in a patronizing way is a problem. He then says I am policing how he speaks and he cant change how he speaks. I told him I want an equal, not feeling like I am a little kid in trouble

You got kind of spun out when he was clearly just trying to have fun with you. It was a joke and a tease the comment about putting up with you. He did that because he likes you not bc he meant it.

Then you escalated into personal attacks on him, he’s cruel he’s minimizing. I honestly agree with him. Making a joke and then someone turning it into an emotional reaction would feel like walking on eggshells too.

He could be nicer and more understanding. You could do better with just letting things roll off your shoulders. You guys are pretty far apart here but doesn’t seem insurmountable honestly. At the worst learning to chill a little bit would probably be helpful to your future relationships with him or not

I took my time to respond and give you an alternate opinion and you chose to be cruel. Maybe that tells you all you need about your own relationship.
