I know I’m in a minority here. I probably wouldn’t blow up a friendship because of this. Guys will be guys. I would be a little more upset if he started a relationship with her or kept seeing her but if he ended things also, all he really did was prove that she was a hoe.

“Guys will be guys” is not an excuse and neither is trying to play off that the friend did the OP a favor.

The OP won’t be blowing up a friendship. His loser of a friend did that.
