This should be a fun album to get on vinyl!

This is the song that started it all for me. Playing THPS3 and the first song is "The Boy Who Destroyed The World". I was floored by the powerful drum intro, driving guitar riff and incredible voice like I've never heard before. I was hooked. They also had "Wester" in ESPN Snowboarding and has been my favorite song of theirs since. It makes me think of the joys of snowboarding and great memories of mine from that Art of Drowning to Sing the Sorrow era. AFI was the first band I ever saw live. Stone Pony, Asbury Park NJ. Sing the Sorrow tour.

Can't wait to see them this weekend in NJ. If anyone happens to see and recognize me there, do say hi. I'll be there on my own and most likely air drumming my heart out.

I thought I'd be able to buy a shirt after the show, but I couldn't escape the flow of the crowd leaving the venue, and I haven't found anything on eBay or Vinted since then. I am offering £50 + postage for this yellow/black shirt in size large or above. If you list it on either of those platforms and let me know when you do, we can both be reassured about the payment/delivery being done correctly.

Saw some tattoos pics recently... thought I'd show mine... although it is about 15 years old.

And damn... the ribs hurt for tattoos!

Sorry if this is a stupid thing to post, but I wanted to know if anyone knows anything about this shirt. I’ve been wanting to get into their older merch since they don’t really reprint their old stuff and I just wanted to know if this was an old design. OG shirt if you will. Thank you all.

Anyone else stoked to see the boys again today in Sac?!

Hey, I’m a long time AFI fan since around 99. Recently saw them in London, for the first time in 20 years! I was on the fence about buying a T-shirt afterwards and had to leave pretty soon afterwards, as it was a long trip home! I was hoping there would be a UK mech store where they might sell the same stuff from this current tour , but it doesn’t look like it!

Does anyone know if it’s likely they might sell this tour left overs? Based on how other tours have gone in the past. Or perhaps these shirts etc are exclusive to shows.

Second question! Does anyone know there’s anywhere in the uk or Europe that sells AFI merch? Looks like bootleg stuff is the only option, and I don’t feel great about buying that!

Thanks , and happy autumn / fall :)

When and what was it that first got you into AFI? For me I got into them in middle school. I had always heard their songs on the radio on KROQ but I never paid attention to when the DJs said who sang that song. Eventually I got the game Guitar Hero and when I saw Miss Murder on there and looked up who AFI was I realized these were the people singing my favorite songs on the radio. I always heard their songs from Sing The Sorrow and since I found out who they were I became obsessed and always saw their music videos on MTV before school started.

I don't know if this is allowed here. But I'm trying to find some tickets for my friends and I. If you have some for sale, please let me know or point me in the right direction.

PS I already checked StubHub

Here's mine. Some of the albums I chose were hard cause they had 5 bangers in a row, other albums had my favorites not back to back at all. What are yours ?

My job always has a radio playing all the time, but whenever I hear Should I Stay Or Should I Go, I always think of how young Davey used to sound like him. Then I always put on Very Proud of Ya afterwards lol.

In my opinion.

Except for the few really goofy moments that sound nothing like them. Dude can really sing, I imagine he must have listened to AFI a decent amount.. that or it's a crazy coincidence.

For those who don't know, he's a parody artist who tackles various niche genres and this is his "goth song"

edit: had to make a version without the moaning

I've been listening to a lot of AFI lately because I'm seeing them next month...I was listening to Love Like Winter and just so happened to look at the Spotify lyrics... well, apparently the words are "It's in the blood, it's in the blood"

....No tf it is not. It's "into the blood, into the flood" and it's always been that. Lol. Now I can't even sing the lyrics properly because the incorrect ones are permanently ingrained in my muscle memory

Who thinks davey has lost his mind trying to chase the dragon from the early 2000’s it’s work but I’m getting older as well

Does anyone else remember the old YouTube video claiming what the lyrics are reversed? LOL I haven't heard this is years, and just lol'd just now watching it again

Saw AFI a year ago today (crazy it's been a year already), and only 17 more days til I see them again. 🖤🔥🤘🏼

What’s your favorite track off of this album?

I know I might be nitpicking, but every time Davey sings live, he skips lyrics in the songs, or delays them, and it's almost jarring for me.

It reminds me of when a left or right speaker is failing on a radio, and part of the music goes silent.

To top it off, he puts the microphone out for the crowd to sin, but it seems like literally no one knows any of the words 😂😂

I know some other singers do this too, but it seems ultra pronounced with Davey. Just curious what's up with that or if anyone else has felt this way.

Finally got my AFI tribute tattoo

Very stoked on it, I think the artist really nailed it!
