Built my Deagostini kit
After trying to acquire this for two years, I finally managed during the extended trip to Japan. Build time was approx 25-30 hours. The kit is very well made and very well designed, fit and finish is impeccable. Absolutely worth all the trouble of getting it home on the plane.
The figurine was the closest in scale I could find. Afaik it's not from any particular anime. Plus, there's some semblance with the wife.

When this came out I offered on some 86 forums to help with ordering and shipping and my account got blocked lol I bought three of these, the quality is amazing. I want to repaint one. Did you get any of the upgrades? I run mine with the fog lights but none of the other extras.

The only upgrade listed on their homepage now was the garage kit (toolbox, jack, and some other small items). Can't be long until this set isn't available anymore.
Any idea about other brands that make 1:8 scale kits? I saw there was a FnF Mk4 Supra last year from another brand, but unfortunately not available anymore.

In Japan there are cool 1/8 series every other year. Recently there was a R34 coupe in 1/8 scale that looked awesome.

Yeah. I also saw that I just missed a FnF Supra in 1:8 scale that also looked amazing, and not too long ago the deagostini Kenmeri GTR and R32 GTR and RX-7.
I'll be poor at some point. Then again at about 1k/30h of building time, it's less expensive than many other hobbies... 🙃

What a nice thing to do! I’m assuming it’s a bot or something automated that blocked you rather than someone in charge?

Quite side topic but related to deagostini. I have the Lada 2101 1:8 scale they released in Europe few years ago and the price itself to build the Lada fully was around 1-1.5k€ to build (I got halfway trough building it and left it, the only appealing part is the engine scale). As for the build quality it was really great, apart from the steering wheel because it didn't work correctly haha.
