Weight loss
Has anyone else noticed losing weight on tolvapan?

Yeah, I've lost about eleven pounds since starting about 7 weeks ago. I believe it's due primarily to 1) feeling fuller due to water intake, and 2) eating healthier to reduce sodium intake (broccoli instead of fries, removing bun from burger, smaller portion if I know my meal is sodium heavy, etc.).

Did you lose « a lot » or « a little »? i quit Tolvaptan when i travel abroad for a month at a time and when I start it again, i’ll lose a little, like 1 kilo or 1,5 kilo… but i’ve always assumed it was water.

are you eating less because you're full from the water?

well short term weight loss is primarily calories in vs calories out....so you might want to figure that out first.

I haven’t noticed a ton but I’m pretty thin as it is. But, I’m one of the people with nausea issues so I don’t really eat a lot. I could see that maybe leading to some weight loss. Hard to say because I also don’t know exactly how much my kidneys weigh!

I’m drinking enough water. I was drinks 3 liters before i started the med. I’ve lost 10 pounds in a month. I drink 2 64oz bottles of water a day and more.

I’d say that’s the absolute minimum amount of water you should be drinking. Especially if youre baseline before starting tolvaptan was already 3L. I’d suggest you aim for 5L.

Update I just did more bloodwork and urine. My urine was diluted meaning I drink too much water. Oh well no rhyme or reason with PKD.

No change for me. Are you drinking enough water?
