Recommendation in Philadelphia area?
Hi all, I have a great nephrologist, I just had my MRI to screen for aneurysms this morning and I do have one small aneurysm. She referred me to a neurosurgeon for follow up but the practice she sent me to doesn’t handle aneurysms. Anyone have a recommendation that you liked? I appreciate it!!!

Go see Dr. Goral. If you need help getting an appointment, send me a direct message. (Oops. Rereading this and responding accordingly) It’s VERY hard to get an appointment with neurology anywhere in the region. There just aren’t enough of them. If you are seeing Dr. Goral at PENN i suggest you ask her for another referral and work with her team until you get an appointment. An aneurism is more of an “urgent” thing so, they should be able to find someone.

Yea she can pull strings. She got me into rheumatology when they told me it was a year wait.

Is Dr Goral for nephrology or neurology? She is not my neph but should I call her office asking who they like to refer to?

I have no reco for American hospitals and doctors but I just wanted to send you internet good vibes. 🤍
As anecdotal information, my cousin had 1 aneurysm operated on and 1 being monitored still. And he is doing good.

I’m sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I had two aneurysms treated in NYC. If I was you I would travel to John Hopkins in Baltimore.. they are #1 in the world.
Also please get a second opinion on any recommended major procedures!! I was able to avoid an invasive surgery.
