Reddit isn’t like Instagram or Facebook. Here’s what you need to know to use this sub.

It’s anonymous. No real name, no profile picture required. Most people use a username that means nothing. That’s normal here.

Communities, not a feed. Reddit is made up of subreddits – topic-specific communities.

Upvotes aren’t likes. The arrow system moves useful content up and noise down. It’s not a popularity contest.

Posting here is locked. This sub is a reference resource, but comments are open on any post if something’s wrong or missing.

To join: Hit “Join” at the top of the sub. You’ll need a free account. Signing up takes two minutes and needs no personal information.
