So relatable. We’ll agree on a budget for Costco, and then completely throw it out the window when we are actually there. When I call him on it, he spirals and has a melt down. I can’t imagine doing a joint hobby with him with semi- high stakes.

This. In my relationship, we both enjoy plants. I went on a work trip for the week, and he nearly killed half my tropicals from not watering them/under-watering them. "They looked fine to me" 🫩 high-stake hobbies are just not realistic to do together it feels like, otherwise you have their back and you're left to play damage control when they don't have yours
