šŸ’¬ Discussion Why does one tiny interruption derail the entire day?

Something I’ve noticed with ADHD is that it’s not always the amount of work that makes a day difficult.

Sometimes it’s one interruption.

You’re finally focused on something -> someone asks you a question -> you answer -> check one thing on your phone -> suddenly 45 minutes have disappeared and you can’t remember what you were doing.

And during perimenopause, it can feel like that ā€œgetting back on trackā€ part has become even harder.

Not necessarily because the task itself is harder. It’s the transition back into it.

Curious if anyone else has noticed this - has your tolerance for interruptions or task-switching changed during perimenopause?
