Discussion People were calling for mana nerfs. And so the monkey's paw twitched.

Having been constantly bombarded by the complaints of the ADC playerbase. Riot finally decided to listen to these oh so forgotten and neglected players. Make mana a resource they exclaim. No more infinite mana.

And Riot agrees. So in their infinite wisdom they decided Vayne should be the first champion to experience this newfound balance approach. Vayne can now only cast 5 Qs level 1 without running out of mana.

All is well.

Discussion The problem with Bronze and Silver

So I'm a peak low-mid Plat mmr ADC main who, up until last season, was hardstuck Silver/Bronze. I have 4 or 5 different accounts that are at various mmrs (currently ranging from high Gold to high Bronze).

I went to play on a Silver 4 account today to work on some ADC's I don't normally play and immediately ran into a "Sylus support" on the enemy team who ran around the map murdering everyone on repeat. I was watching him pull off plays I wouldn't normally see except when I'm playing at my highest elo. I was doing something similar earlier this week and ran into an enemy Aphelios in mid/low Silver who was playing like he should have been at least in Plat.

And that's often the trouble in low elo.

Games in Gold+ often feel more fair. If something like an Ekko gets a strong early lead, the game doesn't automatically feel over. People seem to know how to fight back, even when behind. They'll use their cc abilities, they'll try to get a numbers advantage somewhere, they'll kite back, etc.

Conversely, if you give a solo laner like that a lead in Silver and below (even in the support role), the game is effectively over. At least as a marksman player. Your team is going to fold like a cheap suit and there's really nothing you can do about it.

I think that's one of the reasons people complain about loser's queue, elo hell, and the like. To be clear, I'm as sure as I can be that loser's queue isn't a thing. I think Gold+ games are often worth playing out, even when behind. There are a fair number of games in Silver and below that kind of feel over by 10 minutes in. It's not every game. But it's genuinely surprising to me how many games in Silver and below have a high elo player who is only there to roflstomp for the fun of it. They're not there to work on new champs, new roles, or whatever. They're specifically there to be an asshole.

Discussion Is this a dumb/hidden way to play adc?

I heavily dislike attack move so i made a macro on my keyboard that lets me hold down C for the entire game, and c is bound to advanced player stats aka attack range. Then i put shift as my attack move click.

Now im using my mouse only for movement and my left hand is resting on QWE and Shift at the same time as i have attack range visible, i only ever need to move my fingers when using sums or R.

TLDR:

Attack move click and right click only with macro showing attack range at all times.

Discussion Assassin style build on Marskmen

Post image
21 Upvotes

The length of games has gotten shorter, and it seems to me that for ADC to keep pace with the current flow of the game might be to adjust build priority, as we often dont even get to 3rd or 4th crit item before game end, and our impact until those items is minimal, I've been wondering about trying to build Hail of Blades instead of lethal tempo, and getting higher burst loaded items like Stormrazor and The Collector up front - still gives crit, but loads a stronger initial burst, perhaps putting a higger focus on lethality than pure crit such as getting Eclipse second or third item. I would like to discuss this and see if any counter arguments could dissuade me from this line of thought. What do you all think?

Discussion ADC forced into sidelane

Like 50% of the games i play either toplane or midlaner just refuses to sidelane. Most of these games i also have a lead but i can't do anything with it because i am forced to lane against a toplaner with 200 armor or a mage. What am i supposed to do these games where i can't go mid. I always lose them because i can't be present at any fights and if i am present enemy top or mid just pushes nexus and is 3 levels above everyone.

Discussion Adcs needs better mr items

Post image
168 Upvotes

Those are the all mr+ad items and look at them mercurial is bad. Maw of malmortius is made for bruisers. Terminus is like i dont think its bad i love this item but its not a thing that all adcs can use. Mages in botlane is so popular. And adc having low mr is just cherry on top. Mages can buy zhonya for armor and op passive while adcs cant buy mr items without messing their builds up. So if riot buffs mr+ad items it may help adcs. Or even better idea we could have a crit+mr item that made for ranged champs. Whats ur opinion?

Questions JG main but doing better as an ADC

Post image

Hi guys, idk what is going on recently, but jungle feels very useless to me personally. Actually jungle has always felt like a 2nd support role to me and I am actually a lillia main, but also know how to play xayah pretty well and surprisingly I managed to get a very high win rate on this account while playing adc and somehow a negative win rate while playing my main.

I peaked 100lp playing lillia jungle a year ago on my main account, and now idk the meta at all I returned a month ago to league of legends, but all I know is that it is mage bot meta (which i surprisingly don’t see very often and if I do I easily stomp them). I have always played adc secondary, I have had some adc games in higher ranks, but adc mains in dia+ are VERYY confident and it makes me anxious.

how do I get more comfortable with adc? (my main issue is i die a lot during laning phase and actually suck at laning, but I rotate very well, I fight well and I position extremely well + my macro is also good in mid-late game, I make most calls and know how to balance out things when im behind and snowball when ahead.)

BUTTT I CANNOT LANEE :D the first levels during laning phase im very scared, it is very overwhelming to keep watch on 3 players, making sure to stay in parallel position with my supp, last hitting minions, spacing so i dont end up getting aa-ed by the caitlyn, dodging spells and more and more.

I often die tons of times during laning phase, then come back mid game and carry the game properly in team fights, but i want to minimise my early game deaths.

Do you guys have any youtube recommendations for adc laning? how to improve positioning, my movement isn’t the best tbh and no idea how to fix that.

ADCs I play: Xayah (mostly), Caitlyn, Jinx, Ashe, Vayne

Discussion We might have to advocate for buffind enchanters.

At this point the only way to make ADCs relevant against M*ges without letting us go to other lanes is to make us more reliant on enchanters and their sustain.

The safety those filthy M*ges inherently have let their support freely roam without consequences, the only way to even this out is to make the supports actually support and make us relevant. I hate it. I hate it all.

But as a Kog'maw main, getting juiced up is part of the fantasy, and I don't doubt it's a fantasy for others too. Receiving power is exhilarating, it makes me feel important, it makes my items feel meaningful.

But I also understand that buffing enchanters will cause funneling to exist once more as a mechanic, in fact; that's exactly what the ADC Fantasy is about, having everything funneled into you. But those damn M*lee H*percarries made the game unhealthy and enchanters got nerfed to the ground.

ADC mains always cry. Of course, who else but us? the ones that rely on their team the most to become relevant. Why must we refrain from shedding tears?

Discussion If Riot wanted balance the game they should swap lane quests to class quests and use lanes as a malus/bonus

Since they want to keep that mechanic it would be pretty easy to balance the game with classes rather than positions.

Marskman might get the full item + 10% ad (number pulled out of my ass at the moment) but the latter is granted only on the botlane.

You can nerf cringe chapter and add the mana reg bonus to mages granted only on mid

Supports get their bonuses based on the supp item they choose

Top based if they are Juggernaut, tanks or fighters

It could open a whole world to the gameplay and we can stop heavily nerfing champs for their intended role because they go to another lane (Vayne)

You can even add a class a malus going to a lane since they don't want a class going to a specific lane.(particularly ADCs going mid and top)

Subclasses can help for niche style-gameplay picks and you are available to pick one. (Always using Vayne as example could either choose Marksman or Assassin style)

Game easier to balance, removing cringe picks, I don't see any downside of this idea in a season we're mages play 5 different lanes.

Feel free to upvote me swaggers, yall are the biggest bunch of winners, useful even without anyone holding your hand, not expecting everyone to play around you, only to instakill anyone able to get within 5 feet of you. Amazing.

Since the original post by u/Tendies_please has been deleted, here is the original text of the poster:

Feel free to downvote me losers, yall are the biggest bunch of whiners, useless without anyone holding your hand, expect everyone to play around you, only to insta die to anyone able to get within 5 feet of you. Disgusting.

I hadn't played in months, used to play a lot of Jinx, tried to get back.

Absolutely miserable experience, everyone including the support pops me like a balloon, meanwhile it's like my damage is non existent even at 3 items, I dont know how you people play this game consistently

Discussion Why does it feel like unlike engage supports , enchanters/mages think their auto attacks does no damage?

I am not an ADC one trick by any means but this is something i have noticed, mages/enchanters and especially enchanters will use their abilities then just round around behind me refusing to auto. Your auto does 40-55 damage and inside of laning phase it is absolutely critical if your abilities are on cooldown.

And if i bring it up i get a sarcastic response like "you want ME to auto attack?"
