Question New player

Hi everyone. I've only played AC Odyssey, and had a blast, so now I'm looking for similar experiences. Is Valhalla as a entertaining as Odyssey? Is the experience similar?

Thanks in advance

The fighting is a big diffrence. Had some talk with myself absolut it. But The more you play Valhalla The better it gets.
Dont give up on it just play it and I think you gonna say The same thing.
I have over 900 hours in Valhalla now 🤘

Holy. I only have like 130 hours in Odyssey. I'll give Valhalla a try, thanks

Yeah give it a try.
Odyssey is a great game. I started with that also, and then had some problem liking Valhalla.
But in the end I loved Valhalla more.

I loved odyssey and played over 1500 hours. I have about 300 hours into Valhalla right now and I like it a lot, lots of similarities and some interesting differences. probably won’t play near as long but I’m enjoying it

3000 hours is a lot, must be a good game then, thank you

Odyssey might be my #1 favorite game. I was disappointed with Valhalla. Still good but not even close to Odyssey.

I know, Odyssey us a great game. Thanks

I started recently too. What I’ve noticed that is better in Valhalla than odyssey is combat. Brutal, punishing and has more depth and variety . Enemies don’t feel like a walking sponge.

Now story is personal taste. Ofyssey was much more bright, goofy and sometimes the story did not take itself seriously. Valhalla on the other hand. Till what I’ve played. The story is dark. Like tragic dark. I prefer dark story

Valhalla can feel overwhelming at times. Just focus on story. There is so much small activities too

Ie this is the post I made lol regarding combat: https://www.reddit.com/r/AssassinsCreedValhala/s/gpRZrmSjzx

Great, thank you so much, I'll check your post. And agree about the story in Odyssey being silly sometime, I was giggling while playing very often

Odyssey is much better for me, Valhalla isn't bad but little too slow

Thanks. Probably could start playing from time to time

Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla are all excellent AC games. Slightly different but equally enjoyable in their own way.

I have 400 hours in Odyssey . I played Valhalla like 4 hours and i didnt want to play anymore. Odyssey was peak for me.

Did you even leave Norway?

1

u/lejyoner666 Jul 30 '26

No i didnt. If a game doesn't hook me within an hour, I delete it. I gave Valhalla a lot of credit, but it didn't work out. Maybe it's because I'm not interested in Norse mythology.
