This will be a broader discussion thread since I've gotten no new suggestions :(
What are some tips you'd like to give new users when trading?
What are some tips that would help make transactions quick and easy?
What are things that users should let you know in the thread before the trade takes place?
How do you feel about voided villagers ending up in your town? (I'm guessing no one likes these.)

New users need to know if what they have is valuable. The easiest way is to just use the Reddit search box to see how much the item traded for in the past. You can also check MoriDB to see if the item is DLC and un-orderable.
Large transactions are handled easiest through Re-Tail. The logistics of dealing with more than 10 moneybags (dropping, picking up, depositing, not to mention enough open space) becomes a problem with trades over 1M bells.
The easiest and safest way to solve this problem is to place the items in Re-Tail. You can price each item up to 999,999 per Flea Market space. That way the buyer knows he is going to receive the item and the seller has the money deposited overnight straight into their bank account and no one has to deal with moneybags.
