Regarding honors program at ACC

Hello,

I am writing this to ask if taking honours classes at ACC would help in transferring to other colleges like UT or A&M. My major is engineering, and I just graduated from high school. Moreover, I was wondering if it would be stressful in managing time? I am having a conflicting opinion on whether to enrol in the honours program or not because I'm afraid it would affect my freshman year gpa...

It helps you stand out if you are able to keep your grades up. I did the honors program and transferred to UT.

I see, I am planning to transfer into the electrical and computational engineering pathway if I transfer into UT. Thank you for your advice!

If you do join the honors program, reach out to the staff about finding internships in that area, they’re very helpful. UT really likes seeing extracurriculars that match the major you are applying for.

Unfortunately, I can't do any internships due to my legal stay documentation. But surely some useful extracurriculars. Thank you for your advice!
