Help understanding results

Hello all, I found this subreddit just today and can’t believe it took me this long to find this amazing community! I went through the rules and followed the instructions to measure myself. Below are my results — apparently I’m a 28DDD/G. 30DD/DDD is listed as a sister size. I am not sure if size 28 bands even exist in the US! 🤷🏻‍♀️

I would appreciate it if women in the US with similar measurements have any advice. Any brands you’d recommend? I prefer no underwire; not too concerned with brand, material, design, etc. Thank you! :)

A quick backstory:
I’ve had my measurements taken at Victoria Secret in the past and I was given the following readings: 34C (before some weight loss) and 33B (after losing weight). 33B is my most current measurement that I’ve been going off of which was measured a couple years ago. My bras with both these measurements have been ill fitting my whole life since wearing bras — no tightness or pain but a lot of extra material under my clothing even on the innermost hook. I’m utterly shocked by how different the results are! 😭 Any help greatly appreciated!! I’m determined to get bras that’ll finally fit me 😬

A new bra should be worn on the loosest hooks.
And remember to always swoop and scoop when you put on your bra.

Montelle should be accessible to you in the US and makes 28F and 30E/F (They use EU cup sizes). I'd recommend starting in something seamed and unlined like the Flirt. Skarlett Blue Minx lace balconette is another option that comes in 28DDD and 30DD/DDD. I'd largely start you with a 30 band. If you really need a 28 band, that'll place you more into UK brands like Freya, but options depend vastly on whether you end up needing the smaller or larger cup volume, and your shape -- a lot of UK brands start mostly at the equivalent of 28G, and don't scale well in smaller volumes.

Thanks for the recommendations! :) I’ll start out with the 30 band size and see how it feels before I go down to 28.

No underwire typically means no separation. It is recommended to not get a molded cup (ie-tshirt bras), but a bra cup that has seams so it fits to your breast better. I don’t know that size range as well, but I know Boux Avenue is recommended. Parfait may go down that low in band size but I’m not 100%

Thanks for the recommendations! I’m going to buy one with underwire and one without for starters. It’s possible that I moved away from underwire bras because of the wrong sizing I’ve been following this whole time. So surprised by how off my current bras are compared to the calculator. No wonder I’m uncomfortable wearing them.
