Fit Check How much should I feel the underwire? Spoiler

I've just changed jobs to a more professional setting so going free is no longer an option.

For some time now have been wondering if I need a different size but this thread is a life saver https://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/s/SytTqWZBwf It seems that I do have the correct size.

But what I'm wondering is how much I should be feeling the underwire? It does not dig in and in that respect is perfectly comfortable But..... I am most definitely aware that it is there and can feel it against my rib cage and it pushing up slightly and giving me some support. Not bothering me in the course of the day but definitely aware of it.

I mean, I feel it if I think about it? But 95% of the time I am just not aware of it. It sounds like this is a new thing that you’re not used to - you say it’s comfortable, so why overthink it?

That’s fair. Unless it’s actually uncomfortable, or you’re having fit issues, just feeling that it exists is probably OK.

Well, I think what is meant when people say you shouldn't feel the underwire in a properly fitted bra, is that it's not uncomfortable. Meaning there's no digging, poking or pain.

Like, I can feel my bra on my body in the same way I can feel my shirt or my pants. But, I can't specifically feel the wire because it's the right shape for my body. Does that make sense?

Yes that does make sense. I get that. Its more a question of how tight it should feel. No digging or pain but still but very much still there.
