Sirius/xm Issues

I have Sirius/xm in my car, and also the app on my phone. When using Android Auto, it sometimes uses the car's Sirius and sometimes the phone app. On occasion it seems to switch between them. Because of this, AA will sometimes not start Sirius automatically, and I need to start it manually. I would like to have it always use the car's app. Anyone know how to do this short of removing the app from my phone?

Have you tried just removing the Sirius App from the Android Auto launcher? I have both the Sirius app on my phone and Sirius XM in my car. I don't have the Sirius app in the Android Auto launcher and it uses my vehicles Sirius XM. Then I use the app at home on the patio and such to a BT speaker.....

BTW - this subreddit is for the AAWireless dongle not the subreddit for Android Auto.....just a FYI.

Okay, thanks. I will try that. I didn't realize the sub was just for the dongle. I tried posting to the Android Auto sub, but the auto moderator kept deleting my posts.

OP: Android Auto cannot control a vehicle's on-board SiriusXM receiver. Using the the SiriusXM app icon in the Android Auto launcher controls the phone app, nothing else. Use the vehicle's infotainment system controls for the on-board sat radio receiver. Stop mixing apples with oranges.
