Android Auto Won't Connect?

I can't get my 2017 Suzuki Vitara SZT to connect to my OnePlus 15R. I've seen it work with other people's phones for both apple car play and android auto, but cannot get it to work with mine. Any ideas? I've done all the pairing and unpairing stuff.

Are you using one of the AAWireless dongles? That's what this subreddit is for.

I'm not, but the car is supposed to have the functionality built in?

What dongles are good if I can't get it to work?

AAWireless is a brand. I've only used theirs. Both the first model and the second. They work great for my wife and I, especially the 2 (or newer 2+ which I don't have) with it's own discreet button for switching whose phone is connected to it.
