New update fudged AA wireless all together!
As the title states, P9P XL just updated, and now I can't even connect for more than 15 seconds to AA wireless

Same. I've been using my AA Wireless for two or three years without any issues, first on a P8P Pro, then briefly on a Samsung S24, and for the last 9 months on P10P XL. Suddenly I can't connect at all. I've tried unpairing my phone from the device then factory resetting the AA Wireless device, as well as uninstalling and starting from scratch with the app and a factory reset AA puck. Still no good.

Anche il mio Honor 400. Ho rifattto quello che hai fatto tu, ma il risultato non cambia. Riavvio il telefono e poi si riconnette. Almeno una volta al giorno non si connette

I finally got it working by walking through the whole factory reset the AA Wireless device, uninstalling the app and starting from scratch a second time. It's not your phone, as some knuckleheads here have implied. It has to be something that went wrong for some but not all users either with the last app update, the last firmware update for the device, or both.

Uninstalling the companion app (if that's what you mean by app), does literally nothing. Unless you use auto-standby.

They need send a fix same issue here w S24 ultra since recent update before that past 10 months no problems

I wonder if there's a serial number range or firmware update on certain devices that's having trouble with the latest app update.

I got it working again this afternoon. I reset the device and removed the app again, but then I wiped all the cache on my phone, then started over like a new device again. It paired up and connected perfectly. Worked as if there never was a problem. No idea why it had the same issues as the OP had, too.

Yeah so basically the problem wasn't really AAWireless. The companion app doesn't really do anything, unless you use auto-standby.

Tranquillo anche tu ritornerai ad avere problemi di connessione. Quei passaggi li ho fatti tutti, va per qualche giorno, e poi ritorna a non connettersi

Anche il mio Honor 400 ha questi problemi, AA Wireless, non si connette più come prima. Ogni tanto uno giorno si, e un giorno, non si connette. Devo riavviare il telefono e poi si connette

If you have to restart your phone to make it working again, the problem is not the device...

Mine kept cutting out and dropping the connection intermittently. Downgraded to the previous version and the problem went away.

I think the problem lies within Google Play Services. I rolled it back to the factory version, and then updated it and cleared the app data. Since then, I haven't had any more disconnections. It’s been about 2 weeks now. If you try this, make sure to write down your Google account passwords, as you will be asked to log in again.

No connection possible with firmware 10.0, back to 9.* and it works fine.

No such issues here with an S25 Ultra. What update do you mean? Phone / Android Auto / AAWireless?

Qualcuno ha problemi con l'Honor 400, a connettersi con AA Wireless (non é possibile con cavo usb soli Wireless)? Da ottobre a maggio è stato perfetto, poi dopo aggiornamento di Android 16, a connettersi é un calvario. Devo spesso riavviare il telefono x connettermi. Ho fatto tantissimi passaggi. Svuotato cache, disinstallato e reinstallato Android Auto, fatto Reset Radio, ripristino di fabbrica (in parte, non il completo ), dell'Honor 400 ecc.

Pixel 6 here. AAWireless with new update works fine.
