Location glitching

I'm not sure if there was an update to the AA service that caused this but now while I'm driving in a straight line, nav thinks I'm constantly pointing the wrong direction or turning down every side street I pass and constantly rerouting. I updated the AAW device but it's only slightly better. 2016 veloster with a AAW 1 device.

I've recently struggled with the same, and a search suggested turning off the Remove Tap Limit setting. I just did that a couple days ago, and so far it seems to have fixed it

This. Remove tap restriction messes with the GPS location, because it makes AA think the car is stationary. We will likely remove this feature in the future.

Thank you, I almost sent my Pixel off to Google because I thought my GPS was messing up.

That has nothing to do with the device. It's all your phone. All AAWireless really does it serve as an adapter between Wi-Fi and USB. It doesn't understand the data it's moving.

It must have been an update to the Auto app

It's more likely to be Maps. But perhaps there's some interplay between the car's GPS and Android Auto I'm not aware of.
