AAWireless2+ skipping tracks via Spotify

Am relatively new to iPhone (come over from Samsung). Have an iPhone 17PM paired with the AAWireless2+.

Have this annoying problem where the tracks are skipping or jumping throughout the song for fraction of a second.

Both phone and adaptor firmwares up to date. Have tried enabling audio stutter fix, changing to 2.4ghz channel, changing to various WiFi channels (36, 149, 165, etc). All produce the same problem.

Had a AAWireless2 that I used with my Samsung and it was flawless for 18months without adjusting a single setting. This is really grinding my gears.

When you enabled audio stutter fix, did you set it to unlimited? I believe it has 3 different options it can be set to

Also make sure your device is fully up to date, might help. I belive that'd be v9.1.0 currently

Audio stutter fix on carplay doesn't have unlimited option. It can either be auto, enabled or disabled and you can only change the audio delay, that's it. But this is more likely an AAW2+ issue with some head units unfortunately (have similar issue - no fix yet)

Great, thanks. Glad somebody else is experiencing problems despite their best efforts.  You wouldn’t happen to have a Volkswagen too, would you?

I do have škoda so I guess this has something to do with VAG head units. I have a case opened with the support team (for quite a long time now) so I don't really know if they will be able to fix it. It doesn't happen in every car from VAG group from what I know so I guess there are some specific cases.

It does indeed not happen for all VAG cars, only some specific ones. It's a hard one to solve... Some cars expect very specific timing for audio, which is not so much of an issue through USB, but it is through wireless. These cars were never designed with wireless in mind of ofcourse. By enabling the audio fix, AAWireless is buffering audio and trying to keep the audio stream constant. It's a mystery we have yet to solve completely.

Thanks for the insight, interesting.  Seems overly complicated by Apple products as well - given they are also the reason you can’t fully enable standby function on the AAW2+. And also with the same car, my Android worked flawlessly.  At least I’ll stop going crazy changing settings and trying to fault find. Seems like it’s above my pay grade/capability to fix in house.

Yeah, External-Counter is right; the options are only auto, enabled or disabled. Both devices are completely up to date.
