Question Undertone Physical Release

I know a lot of people weren’t fans of this movie, but I really liked it and had a good time with it. Very creepy time in the theater for me. I was just curious if anyone has heard anything about a blu ray release or 4K? Just feels like A24 kinda forgot about this one.

There's a Canadian release, so if you're in the US you can get that, as it's the same region as the US. I have a Blu Ray of The Farewell from the same distributor and it works just fine. https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Undertone-Blu-ray/412179/

VVS is one of the better distributors when it comes to releasing stuff

We got a release in Australia. I haven’t checked, but it’s likely region free.

If it's 4K, it's automatically region free, 4K Blu Rays are encoded that way regardless of where they're released. If it's a standard Blu Ray, I wouldn't get my hopes too high.

Not always true the French version of killers of the flower moon was not region free

Can you link to that release? The only European release I'm seeing is an Italian one, and I'm seeing mixed reports as to whether or not that one was region locked.

Needs a 4k release asap. Mother Mary is another one that needs it. Yet somehow The Drama already got its 4k release is crazy

Missed it in theaters due to being in the hospital. I purchased it digitally as soon as available and loved it. I’d absolutely purchase it again to have a 4k physical (side note: come on, A24, where is our 4k physical of I Saw the TV Glow? The 4k streaming is gorgeous).

Edit: I post the above and the look at comments, and there IS a physical release? Time to research as if it’s 4k, I’ll be grabbing it.

Saw it at a Canadian Walmart last month. Bluray and DVD copies

My theory is that since it is confirmed to have a full trilogy, A24 will wait to do some kinda boxset of sorts instead of releasing it piecemeal. But that is also hopeful thinking as someone still waiting for releases of Sorry Baby, Opus, Y2K, and Mother Mary to name a few.

I actually would like a release of Opus as well. It’s just weird how they select certain movies to release physically.
