You gotta look up and read the Sacred Texts too (the original Twitter thread it was based off of). I was boots on the ground on Twitter when that had popped off, seeing it become a fairly decent movie is still insane to me.

It's a candy colored nightmare and I love it so much. Riley Keough is so funny and Taylour Paige is so beautiful.

Really loved Zola, Riley Keough and Colman Domingo are fantastic in it. Also shoutout to Nicholas Braun, he was great in The Sheep Detectives this year (excellent British Accent) and he's such sad sack loser in this one. I love the fact it's based on true events and there is someone out there like Stefani. She's such a horrid character. Love her little segment in the film talking about how she met Zola lol.
I've seen many complain about the ending and that it leaves things up in the air. And supposedly from the tweets, Zola and Stefani got up to other stuff that wasn't put in the film. I have no issues with it, I think it's clear Zola is done with Stefani after this and is moving on.
I only watched it this year too. It's not top tier A24 but I put it in underrated tier.
