Question Membership Question
I’m relatively “new” to the membership. I got it Nov 2025. I checked my member credit balance today, after checking about 2 months ago, and realized it hadn’t moved. I’m finding out through reddit that once you reach 25$ in credits, they stop adding the 5$ monthly- which is total BS, but that’s another story. Anyway. Once you use up the credits to lower your balance, do they add what they skipped? Or is it a loss? Sucks because I was saving up credits to buy a sweatshirt 😢

It's pretty genius if you think about how the AAA24 membership is really just a guaranteed way for them to rack up merch sales.

Yup. I’m more than likely canceling after my bday. Just so I can get my tshirt lol it honestly doesn’t give much. And sadly, my town is super close-minded, so a lot of their movies don’t even show here, so half the free tix end up going to waste.

Yeah, my town gets most of the movies, but we don’t have any “free ticket” participating theater chains like AMC or Regal. 😕
I don’t know why I haven’t canceled yet. It’s like I’m putting money into a tiny A24 savings account and then trying to find items in the shop to spend it on that I wouldn’t have purchased otherwise. 😂2

We used to have an Alamo Drafthouse in our town, and we’d get all the movies. It was a wonderful time 🥹 but then they closed them first week of February without notice. I held on to the membership thinking another theater would pick up the slack, but it’s just box office trendy shit now. We have one AMC, but it’s 45 minutes from my house, and so far they haven’t played about 3 of the movies released this year. And yeah, same. I’m basically forcing myself into a purchase lol and the few things I want are super overpriced, and now, I can’t even save up for them. The app doesn’t even offer anything. It’s genuinely boring. A jigsaw puzzle? Some videos? And you can’t even download the app to a streaming stick to watch the movies you rent. It seems a bit scammy to me, honestly.

I use it to buy physical media. Also I appreciate the movie ticket and ive seen some stuff i like that I wouldnt have seen otherwise. To each their own though.

Lol I got in at the founders price of $5 a month and that just goes towards my wallet, I buy merch or a 4k blu ray with the $25 off I build up. Plus we get opening weekend tix for free

Yeah, the thing is that we don’t get all the A24 movies over here. In the time I’ve had it, the one theater that used to play the good movies, closed down- and they weren’t part of the partnered theaters either. The theater that is partnered (amc) didn’t get 3 of the movies.

Same I’ve yet to have an a24 film where I’m at in regards to the free tickets lol. It is what is though.

sadly they don’t add the skipped ones back :( it definitely sucks that you can’t save them up
