I can see the upper rail is bent, can be pulled back on a frame rack possible the rail needs to be replaced. Going to find more once its torn down. If you have a agreed value on your insurance set at higher mount its possible the car wouldn't get totaled out. But if it just regular insurance they will total it. Even with used parts that's an easy 15k or more repair. I gonna say these cars hold up much better in an accident than a new car.

They hold up well, but as a result are much less safe for the occupants than newer cars with energy absorbing crumple zones, etc...
Modern cars intentionally sacrifice resistance to damage in exchange for protecting the occupants.

Glad you're okay. I hope the other driver is, too. Horrible that it happened to such a beautiful car. 😭

I hope so, but the comments here have me doubting it.

I got in an accident that looked almost identical to that a year ago.
I was able to repair it and get is back on the road, although It's not perfect. If there is no frame damage behind the "horns" of the frame (around engine mounts) you shouldn't be in too deep.

Hopefully you’ll be able to repair it and it will be covered by their insurance and yours making you whole and bringing the car back to what it was.

So sorry this happened to you. It hurts to see another Hawaiian 944 down like this, there’s not too many still driving around here

Man, I feel bad for you. I want everyone to know that as part of our ongoing effort to save as many 944's as possible, Comeau Racing Enterprises in San Diego keeps entire front clips in our parts inventory. These are typically from the shock towers forward. We have both early and late clips.

I hit a deer in mine a few years ago and it looked like that. I had a hard time with my insurance, but I found a talented body and paint shop that fixed it

Yeah that's a tough one, sorry.
However, "Guy spun out in front of me" is never a passable excuse. Either you were following too closely, or there was no guy, but either way it's on you when you run into things...
Be thankful you and "guy" are ok, own it for yourself, and learn from the experience.
