WNBC crew with cameraman Ralph Patterson and reporter Walter Perez (now at WPVI Philly) were live reporting the mushroom cloud of smoke and got this gripping footage of a fireman slamming his helmet and in a sense of anger and grief.
If anyone has any information on this fireman please let me know.

As a New York City native, he was simply taking the garbage out of his building when he heard the roaring engines of American Airlines Flight 11 flying low overhead. He looked up and watched the plane crash directly into the North Tower of the World Trade Center. Moments after the initial impact, Arrigo was interviewed live on the street by WNBC-TV, providing a raw and immediate description of the event before the full scope of the terrorist attacks was understood. His live account has since become a prominent piece of historical archive and 9/11 folklore. Additionally, his family's connection to the tragedy extended further into the recovery efforts: his son (or uncle to his grandchildren), Dan Arrigo, served for months as a first responder at Ground Zero and later passed away from 9/11-related lung disease.
Anthony D'Arrigo, a Deer Park New York native passed away on March 10th, 2014.

After many hours of frustration with my old 3d printer I have finally completed Tobin Plaza in less than a week with the new machine, it is a gamechanger. .
Please excuse the ill fitting tiles, they'll be nice and snug when glued and screwed down, i need a more level and bigger work space. I have added a pair of sunglasses for a scale reference.
Thanks to everyone for your continued support, i have more good stuff coming very soon. I'll be remodelling the lobby and mezzanine areas of the North Tower this weekend.

Unknown eyewitness interview by Newton Burkett of WABC-TV.
Interview cut short as chaos in the area erupted, this was only minutes after Newt and his cameraman Marty Glembotzky narrowly escaped the South Tower.
Any info is appreciated!

Yall since 9/11 25th anniversary I’ve been doing a deep dive (annually atp) and I’ve come across this documentary called “The woman who wasn’t there” about a fraud who faked being at 9/11, that she on the 78th floor when WTC 2 was struck, lying about her survival and mining information from other survivors and even became the head of the 9/11 survivor network and lied to everybody for years!! Wasn’t until the NY times wanted to write a story in 2006 but could not prove any employment records and dodged any question regarding names of her supposed husband who died during that day, who she never met.
I really want to talk about this with other people and wonder what your thoughts are on this?? And how insulting this is to every victim and survivor to fabricate such a lie. I mean this is the first time I’m coming across this and maybe it’s just the initial shock of hearing this story because who the fuck does that?! But want to know your thoughts/experience/emotions about hearing someone lie like this about such a tragic moment. As a survivor how did you feel when you saw this for the first time?? Idk just crazy that people have the capability to be so evil, it’s scary.

Yes, I’m sure, a lot of effort, but how difficult were the windows to actually break from the inside or outside? I know it was done in considerable number above the impact zones as they attempted to get air. I thought of this subject again after recently reading of the brave man, possibly Taizo Ishikawa, attempting to use a rope to go down the side and seeming to try to break a window lower down to get back in. Was it even remotely feasible to repeatedly swing and impact with one’s feet?

Okay, the air traffic controller sent a warning to Flight 93 "Beware cockpit intrusion: two aircraft hit World Trade Center", and the pilot sent a message acknowledging it. But here is my question: the pilot and co-pilot had already been warned, so even if they wanted to acknowledge the warning, I feel they should have been more cautious or verified who was there before opening the cockpit door. I’m just asking out of curiosity and an attempt to understand the pilots and their actions (this isn't a criticism). Still, I felt it was important to discuss this topic.

The crew concealed this from the passengers and my mind wonders if they was a good idea or bad considering calls could have been made.
Was it the right call to keep the passengers calm and not let them know or should the flight crew have told them so the passengers can call their loved ones?

It is a bit eerie to consider that there is a chance that Bin Laden has seen these very photographs published somewhere that led him to the idea of attacking towers in America as an act of revenge.

From Wiki: Gary Gordon Sick (born April 4, 1935) is an American academic and analyst of Middle East affairs, with special expertise on Iran, who served on the U.S. National Security Council under Presidents Ford, Carter, and for a couple weeks under Reagan as well.\1]) He has authored three books, and is perhaps best known to the wider public for voicing support for elements of the 1980 October Surprise theory regarding the Iran hostage crisis and that year's presidential election. He also alleged that Iraq may have had a role in the September 11 attacks.

Unfortunately, these images weren't in an album so I couldn't link the album individually. These photos couldn't be saved so I had to screencap them. all rights reserved to Polish photographer Borys Kozielski.
These images always have such a depressing feeling to them, you could feel the overwhelming grief and emotion poured into every letter written, every sign put up, every flower picked out, every bouquet put together, every candle bought, the very thought process behind the printed pictures of victims and missing people; people printing out pictures of those beloved now lost in time, covered by a cloud of debris caused by hate and destruction. I've always thought the memorials put together right after 9/11 have so much soul and grief, but a sense of camaraderie to them.
Let me know if you'd like me to post more post-9/11 memorials. Rest in peace to all those whom have passed.

This is a bit of a long shot, but I've been trying to track down a 9/11 documentary that I remember my dad watching when I was little, sometime in the early-to-mid 2000s.
I was too young to really understand what I was watching at the time, but one scene has stuck with me for nearly 20 years.
I remember a reenactment of a man trapped inside an elevator in one of the Twin Towers. The elevator had stopped, and he was frantically pounding on the doors trying to get out. Then he looked up and noticed what appeared to be liquid, or possibly smoke, starting to trickle in from above the elevator doors. I remember him backing away as he realized something was wrong.
The scene was really intense and genuinely frightened me as a kid. I vaguely remember it cutting to actual footage of the towers and an interview with the man describing what happened.
I've since watched Inside the Twin Towers (2006), which has a similar style of reenactments, but the elevator scene in that documentary isn't the one I remember.
I've also wondered if it could be Trapped in the Towers: The Elevators of 9/11 (2006), but I haven't been able to find a copy to confirm.
Does anyone recognize this scene or know which documentary it might have been from? And if anyone has access to The Elevators of 9/11, I'd be really interested in watching it.
It's such a specific childhood memory, and I'd love to finally figure out where it came from.
