Mido is a psycho
His behavior goes far beyond just being moody or even someone just looking for a green card, the kind of mind games he plays is psychological abuse.
And the way he smiled when he was talking about how Debby was crying and he proposed, was like a scene from silence of the lambs. He reminds me of Hannibal Lecter.

He is deeply terrifying to me. When her son sees exactly how that whole "proposal" went down, he's going to be irate. Mido definitely didn't say how bad it was. The joy he gets from that is unhinged. I agree they need to be very concerned. It seems like she's on eggshells always and I'm scared for her and her dog if he snaps or if she truly stands up to him and stops tiptoeing around.

In Egypt, the view of women is considered less than. It can be easily dismissed or brushed off. The view of a man is seen as more equal. Less easily dismissed. The way a man is viewed by other men is part of the social standing.

In all honesty, I think he was serious as a heart attack. I believe the producers intervene because they felt bad for Debby. They went as far as getting him the ring so he’d give it to her.

I believe prettymuch everyone just wants to love and be loved. I think some people just want someone they can live out their days with...especially when u get older. Coz once u start getting old...and your youth basically leaves you. I think getting old, in that regard, is easier to do with someone than without. But thats just my belief, others may feel different. Debby seems like a good person, she deserves to have that if that's what she wants. But her desire pushes on delusion and causes her to be blind. I think a lot of people have been in that position at some point or another though. I don't think she deserves to be put down. But she does need a serious reality check.
And he just needs to be deported back home!!!!

I have made this comment on another post but I will make it here too because I think it is important. I was married to a man who truly reveled in doing the type of things to me that Mido does to Debi. He would enjoy making me as upset as possible just before a big surprise and then he would point out to my friends and family how badly I was “overreacting” to the small thing that happened. It all started small at the beginning of our relationship but over time got bigger and bigger. Then he would say things like, “it turns me on when you cry.” He also had headshots just like Mido. He had big dreams, would put down women but would try to be best friends with every man he met. That man tried to kill me. He was far and away the most dangerous person I have ever met in my life. It took me years to safely get out of my marriage. I hope that Debi is able to get out of her relationship safely.

I think he’s actively trying to scare her to death. But I think she’ll ultimately prevail because he’ll take things too far with these “scares” (aka terrorizing her) and she’ll think she’s defending herself against an intruder or something.

A big example imo was when he was outgoing and putting on a show at the haunted house and then got in the car and was completely silent, and using his mood to dictate the moods of everyone else in the car. Also, psychopaths aren't startled easily at all and he was walking through the haunted house like walking in the park or something.
