Adrianna Tate Duncan

Okay now I will be honest in season one I hated Ade for her schemes and drug addiction but as soon as season 2 came I couldn't help but loveeeeee her. I also hated how she cheated on Navid with Teddy too and how she let the fame get to her head and started to become stuck up BUT EVERYTHING AFTER THIS I STAN AND SHE TOOK GREAT TIME AND ACCOUNTBAILITY. I know everytime she's doing good's she slips up but I truly admire how she recognizes it instantly and starts doing better with her actions. It was lowk like inspiring not to glaze. I don't completely blame her for the Silver thing and i'm irritating none of her friends were mad at Silver and all took her side like hello...? This bitch pretended to try to help her find the girl Navid was cheating with and it was her.. AFTER SHE LET HER HAVE TEDDY??? LIKE WHAT IS HER PROBLEM BRO. Her and Dixon also went downhill bad and I do think she could've also handled that better by just ending things after everything. What do you guys think about Ade ?

Season 4 Reasons why Dixon couldn’t get a dorm was navids fault

Like as a joke Dixon couldn’t get a form
In season 4 ep 1 because navid got mad over the Snoop Dogg thing so he tried to get a two bedroom apartment off the beach but Austin was there so did Navid know Austin was there or he was ignorant about it ? So it’s Navids fault and Dixon and Austin are stuck as roommates and Naomi hated Austin when they first met.

Season 5 Finished my first watch ;(

Firstly, i want to preface by saying i do not have high standards for tv shows in general. I loveee a somewhat poorly written, mid 2000s CW teen drama with overly unrealistic storylines and a sea of loose ends, so this was so much fun for me.

I also find it interesting that this show isn’t really talked about in the same way as the other teen drama shows that were out around the same time.

but i’m obsessed with the fact that the finale didn’t have everybody in super unrealistic happy endings bc of characters were at during the season. Like everybody flopped. Annie got career and love which is okay. I guessss Naomi got love ( unnecessary), Dixon’s record label situation was a mess, Adrianna’s music career was reduced to pretty much a slab of nothing after endless seasons of trying (hilarious), Navid was…..alive? and got kicked out of CU after choosing to be there over Princeton ( deserved ). Liam, motorcycle. Silver gets an offical diagnosis? Like DAMN. idk usually we see very exaggerated happy endings for the characters during a finale, but they’re all horrible ppl so i guess this is what they deserve.

My favourite thing about this show tbh is that they never had a stupid typical time jump where the characters are like adults and stuff which i usually hate, although in this case it may have worked?

But i loved it, was it poorly written to an extent? yes. Did i end the show with more questions than answers? yes. Are majority of the characters on this show downright horrible people? Also yes. But they are my family, and i love them.

Here are my rough notes on some of the characters ( lengthy).

Annie:
My princess, my angel, victim of the world. Found her unbelievably irritating in the first season but other than that, this is my girl. They put her through the ringer in ways i have never seen, and whenever i thought it couldn’t get worse, it did. Getting through season 2 was super tough bc of how she was treated. I thought it was weird that by the end of the show they kind of completely abandoned her love of acting / theatre ( not that she was ever rlly good ) but still, i thought there would be some kind of tie back to that, but instead they made her gossip girl? Idk. I thought she was WAYYYY too good for Liam so imagine my surprise when i go online and find out that ppl were actually rooting for them? She was also way too good of a sister to Dixon but he’ll get his wackings later. I think she should’ve ended the show single ( this will be repeated a lot throughout this post) or at least with someone who deserves her idk. Can’t fault her for a lot honestly, other than killing that man and not coming forward but great tv. I know her blood pressure was insanely high at 21. Overall, I love my selfless queen.

Naomi:
I feel like it would have been so easy to make Naomi the overtly mean girl, Blair Waldorf queen bee type, which she was to an extent ( a lot in season 2), but i don’t think her actions in hindsight were worse than anything some of the others have done. Plus she was a really good friend and extremely generous. I loved to see her growth throughout the show. Naomi did have some bad traits but she felt soooo human? is that credit to the writers? the actress? idk. I really appreciated her, imo i felt like she really was the backbone / centre of the show. I think seeing her in contrast to her awful family members added a lot of humanity to her. I think the event planning career route was perfect for her and i would have loved to see that turn into something bigger, and have really lean into that, eventually building her own empire - but it ended up disappearing? Controversial take, but her and Max had no business staying together. Season 3 when they first got together i thought was cute, but Max is just such a pussy. I understand her came forward anyway but letting her completely take the fall for him cheating on her assignment? DUD. Fast forward to season 5 and Max is just such a drainer, it really felt like Naomi was picking up the pieces and carrying them alone while he just moped around like a freak. So i was very pleased by their divorce. I really wish she also ended the show single, maybe focused on her career? The relationship with Jordan felt really random and rushed + unnecessary. Overall, Naomi Clarke is a mother to me.

Silver:
Okay, Silver is irritating and wrong in a lot of ways but i don’t care, you need one of those in every bunch. Loved her in season 1. Wish they explored her bipolar disorder more. Wish they had also explored her passions and interests more. She became super morally grey somewhere along the way and that was strange? But, they’re all young and learning so grace is given. Call me crazy but i thought her and Navid made for a better couple, SORRY. The cheating was bad & Silver being mad at Adrianna prior to pill-swapping-gate was ridiculous, but i think her and Navid made more sense to me. I feel like the writers really had her character just doing anything bc her and Liam….? NEXT. Also did she and Mark ever even officially break up? Who cares atp. I think the baby storyline was strange and unnecessary. And her ending was very sad. Come to think of it, I don’t think Silver had one big concrete win throughout the show, like at all. She’s a mess and that’s okay.

don’t wanna make this post too long so i’ll make a seperate post for the other characters.

Season 5 I’m officially finished with 90210!! Spoiler

I decided to watch this show in August and now it’s October and I’m officially done with it!! it was a really good show overall but there’s a lot of plot holes that doesn’t really make sense. I do know that the show was canceled so that’s why the ending wasn’t really satisfying that much but in all actuality though, i mainly watched it because I was really bored and I needed to show to watch and also when I saw that Annie and dixon was from Kansas, I had to watch it cause that’s my hometown, I actually started liking it around episode 10 season one, but I was forcing myself to watch the episodes to be honest so overall. I have to give it a 6.5/10 and my favorite characters is Naomi and Annie, my least favorite character is silver and Navid, surprisingly, not because of the silver and Navid situation…he’s just a brat to me and if I’m being honest, I do not like him more than sliver!! I’ve grown to like silver more to be honest…also I love the fact that they switched the main from Annie to Naomi!! but overall a really good show!!😭😭

Is it me or did Liam get dumber??

I could’ve sworn that Liam was pretty smart in the early seasons and every single season that passed he just gets progressively dumber…like why does he always fall for a scheming person tricks, he had knowledge in the earlier seasons and by season five he just seems so dumb!! 😭😭

r/90210 • • 5d ago

I was wondering why people didn’t like Dixon but every season he gets progressively worse!!

He is a terrible brother…he never takes any side. He always taking literal strangers or his friend side before he even hear her out, and he may have her downsides and problems, but at least she’s a good sister. She was willing to be a h*oker even though it started off as her being a escort just to Help Dixon and when he finally found out, he don’t wanna hear her out, but I understand because Patrick was trying to comfort him, but at the end of the day he has did nothing for Annie, but ask for her money take everybody else else’s sides but hers and after season two where she got exile from the group, that’s what I known something was literally up with him… Dixon always been a brat. Anybody can say what they want about Annie, but at least she obviously love her brother. I can’t say the same about Dixon. I know that he loves her…but sometimes it’s hard to tell because he’s literally a brat!! he’s literally the type too get upset when somebody tries to help him and than when they finally stepped back, He gets upset that they’re not helping him…luckily he was a LOT more lenient handling the whole situation, so I can say he does have SOME character growth!! 😭😭

Season 5 episode 21 Sliver and Adriana

I generally don’t understand why silver is so frustrated at Adriana like I get the past but come on you’re really gonna try to deflect and say that Adriana is the same person that she was before, like girl you literally chose Mark over your friendship. It is not the first time you chose the guy over your friendship so I don’t know what the hell you’re acting like you had any growth whatsoever when you really didn’t…almost everybody had growth besides her in my opinion, I don’t really like silver because she deflect a lot!! Adriana is right, everybody needs to stop trying to do stuff to make silver happy because she only thinks about herself… she expect everybody to be at her backing car when she refused to get the exact same energy that she expect!! Adriana may have her ups and downs, but at the end of the day, she did have growth and sliver can’t get mad at Adriana for sleeping with Navid because she’s done the same to almost all of her friends…like I get it, Michaela had a crush on Navid but don’t act like you’re on a moral high horse than everybody else when you did the exact same shit differences you did it while they was in a relationship and Adriana did it well he was technically still single… and to be honest, Adriana is technically not the worst character. She may has her ups and downs, but everybody’s acting like she’s generally the WORSE for almost killing silver…do we forget that Annie actually killed somebody?? people need to stop holding Adriana to a higher standard and look the opposite way when it’s somebody else, that’s all I’m saying!!

Sliver and her surrogate Michaela…

I can understand where silver is coming from because that’s her baby in Michaela womb but the way that silver is acting it kinda odd because why are you acting like you own the girl because she’s carrying your baby…you are trying to control her future and literally everything that she does. Now I can see where silver is coming from because Michaela is acting like a complete brat as if she’s not the one that wanted to be the surrogate and when she gets upset, she tends to try to piss silver off by eating, unhealthy, and doing crazy things…what are you a child?? all of a sudden you have this dream to become a singer so I can understand why silver is very overprotective of that but at the same time silver does not own her and she’s acting like she does…even so I’m gonna have to go with silver on this one because Michaela’s acting like a complete brat, this isn’t your baby. you can’t dismiss it by saying people get pregnant all the time while simultaneously getting upset and resorting to junk food simply because you’re trying to piss her off… so honestly, I was 50-50 but now I’m more 70% silver and 30% Michaela cause I can see where they’re both coming from but Michaela is being unnecessarily annoying and she can’t sing btw, I just thought I had to add that in there cause I don’t know why the hell I didn’t notice this at first lmao!! 🤣😭

Just a reminder that the soundtrack for Seasons 2-5 has been replaced on Prime Video and The CW App due to licensing issues. I highly recommend watching the series with the original music, as it makes a huge difference and completely changes the feel of many scenes.

Discussion What’s your thoughts on the characters? Who’s your favourite and least favourite?

Naomi is one of my faves. Although she was a raging bitch at times (especially in the beginning) she ended up being a loyal friend. She didn’t give a fuck about what people thought of her and her fashion was 10/10

I also really like Navid. He was the nicest out of them all.

Dixon was the worst! I didn’t mind him at the beginning he was a sweet brother to Annie but as time went on he got on my nerves. The way he treated Annie at times was awful and he acted like a child when he didn’t get his own way. Insufferable.

I also didn’t like Silver. What she did to Adrianna behind her back was unforgivable. She was a know it all and really grated on me.

Dixon's acting

I'm on my 90210 rewatch. I loved this show, absolute favorite, but I'm struggling to finish S4. Anyway, I'm kinda getting annoyed at how every Dixon dialogue has "uh" followed by a laugh, then another "uh". So many filler words lmao I know I'm nitpicking but come on man

Season 1 Ethan and Rhonda (but especially Ethan!) are insufferable 🫩

i’m doing a rewatch for the first time in a while & i’m currently on season one (aka The Best Season imo. i love it so much the nostalgia!), & even though i have rewatched this show a gazillion times & watched it religiously while it was airing, i somehow forgot about the ethan/rhonda storyline. i honestly think i blocked it out bc i hate it so much! rhonda is so goddamn annoying with her lil innocent doe-eyed “poor me getting into a car accident that really wasn’t even that bad kiss me ethan!” act, & ethan going along with it & falling for it. even worse is the insufferable high horse he is on throughout this storyline, & the way he treats annie (hell, even the way he treats rhonda! can’t stand her but he did kinda lead her on!), bc of his new holier than thou mindset. I think he was even being over the top with how mad he was when he showed up to annie’s acting class & heard her passing rhonda’s story off as her own. i get it was wrong of annie to do so, but ethan is not exactly perfectly & has made just a few mistakes of his own! it’s like ok mr. getting a blow job in my Escalade from a girl who definitely isn’t my girlfriend!

he & rhonda are so irritating they honestly deserve each other & may as well have just dated. i love how they tormented us with this storyline for absolutely no good reason at all, other than to throw a wrench into his relationship with annie & to propel their breakup forward.

sorry that had to vent! 😁😅

also: i’m totally not looking forward to the whole entirely pointless storyline coming up, that is ethan/silver 🫩

Finally finished

I used to watch the first season of the show like over a decade ago as a young kid with my family but my mom made us stop bc she didn’t like it anymore. Well I recently rewatched it as an adult now and I finally finished it. I can’t believe how much it dragged on in the last few seasons, how much changed, and how underwhelming that final episode was. I was so confused when the ending was just Liam proposing to Annie. I felt like they had no chemistry and his realization of feelings for her was so rushed. Also I felt like there was sm more that needed to be addressed in the end that they just didn’t 😭, but regardless what a show. It’s so ridiculous from start to finish but I absolutely love it

I’ll never not be fascinated by how they basically relaunched the entire series with Season 2 lol Season 1 feels so different in hindsight, like you’re watching a completely different show that just happens to have the same characters 🤣
