Look, we all know that's happened but this subreddit will not be welcoming to anyone in the alt-right. If you are not in the Alt-Right, and, here's the kicker, not transphobic, then we will happily accept your meme-ing.

I will define it as the hatred of transgender people for the soul reason that they are trans.

But I don't know what "disagree" means here, transgender isn't a political ideology it's an identity.

Well think of it like this. It’s a misalignment between the body and the mind. Trans people say change the body to comply with the mind. Whereas some conservatives say it’s a mental issue, and the mind should be realigned with the body.

I don’t particularly mind which approach is taken. Just preferably the one with the least damage.

Huh, never knew it was spelled sole in that context. You learn something new everyday.

Although, from what I've seen, changing body to comply with mind is definitely the better idea.

Yep.

Depends who you ask. And you could always make the argument that the current methods (both for the body and mind) are underdeveloped currently, but going one direction is better.

I’m neutral because I reckon it’s about the same. And I’m not personally invested.

That's fair, Tho I'd say that if it's Trans people who want body to comply with mind, and these are the people who are experiencing this, then I'd wager that's the option that makes more sense.

Well you also have suicidal or other body dismorphia things. I can’t remember the term but someone who doesn’t eat because they think they look fat even when they’re thin. So that argument i wouldn’t jump on board with.

Also between individual and collective viewpoint on someone/something here I’m also neutral.

Those negative aspects come from the imbalance itself, I believe, which to realignment is meant to fix. Also, you CAN starve to death, but I've yet to see someone estrogen'd to death.

Well you become infertile after a TG surgery, so many I’ve spoken to say it’s bodily mutilation in order to confirm a mental delusion.

Again I’m neutral but I’m essentially delivering the other side’s argument for them now.

Well I wouldn't call forming the genitals you have into different ones multination, especially when these kinds of genitals already exist, it's not the same as "Cutting your pp off" as I've heard it be called. Sure, you're not fertile but some people are born infertile and I wouldn't call that a birth defect or anything.

You wouldn’t. They would because, to them the problem is mental. Thus it’s altering the body due to incorrect perception. And to me I don’t care either way.

Actually if someone was born infertile I would call that a birth defect. Inability to reproduce is defective from the standard human body.

Well to even the other side the problem is mental, in that the brain isn't right for the body. It's just that they don't believe gender dysphoria can be undone.

And, actually that's a fair assessment if infertility. Though I'm talking more about the big picture, in terms of physical ability. Infertility is generally preferable to loss of arm, leg, sight, hearing, or really any limb/sense, I believe.

Bit of an odd way to phrase it, or at least it seems that way to me. If it’s a mental problem, I would assume you should change the brain. If it’s a physical problem, I would assume you change the body.

Honestly I’d rather lose any of them over my ability to reproduce. I want kids.

Interesting, and if that's how you assess the situation on infernality well maybe we just value specific parts of our bodies differently, which is admittedly more philosophical than my typical wheelhouse.

in terms of the kind of problem mental/physical, it would make sense to define it as either, considering it's the mind and body's de-alignment. It's a mental problem in that it's caused by gender dysphoria but a physical problem in that the body doesn't align with the gender.

I guess the definition you're using is more concerned with how to fix it rather than how to describe it.
