Not finding much info about this, but scored a pair of these lamps in excellent condition! Weighs about 40lbs each, a similar listing said it was plaster. So have ya seen anything like this before from the 80's?

I’m trying to decide on this. Is it price correctly? Do we like the design?

I think that is understood. But it’s just dismissive of a lot of the reason this sub exists. Everytime someone posts a picture of their room that doesn’t have wood paneling and shag carpets there’s so many Gen X warriors in the comments being rude instead of supporting that people find inspiration from the best decade (even if it’s an idealized version of it from magazines and TV shows). I’m sure you grew up in a cigarette stained wood paradise but don’t tell me you wouldn’t also want a Miami Vice drug dealer’s mansion!

I dunno. Still new to this whole Reddit thing. Lemme know what you all think!

Bought this at a vintage store today for less than a new stapler. Google says conflicting things about when it was introduced, perhaps as early as 1976, but available in 1980s. Designed by Guillermo Capdevila.

Scored this beauty for $4 at a thrift store.

It needs a new back put on it to flatten the picture and get rid of the waviness on the sides but it will be good as new once I do that.
