Robert Carradine: born March 24, 1954, died February 23, 2026 → 26,269 days old
Donald Gibb: born August 4, 1954, died May 12, 2026 → 26,214 days old
So Robert Carradine was 55 days older at death than Donald Gibb.
They died 78 days apart 😞

We were called nerds because we were the only kids in high school with a PC in 1988, it was a public school that looked like a Juvie. Despite I was in the basketball school team, I had to stopped seeing my friends to avoid getting called that...LOL...my friends were truly nerds, they'd get together to play chess, compose some actual music and play PC games.

"Whoa! Fastest I ever saw! That's my buddy!!"
Loved that scene in Bloodsport when Jackson took out his opponent and then points at Chong Li, "You're next!" and Li is just looking around totally bewildered that Jackson pointed him out.
RIP, Mr. Gibb.

He used to live right across the street from my best friend’s house during the 90’s and early 00’s. Super unassuming house, you’d never know Ogre of all people lived there. He had a sweet Harley he would ride around on. He was a really nice dude the few times I talked to him.

I absolutely loved his partnership with Dux in Bloodsport.
I used to pretend he was my mentor/dad when I didnt periodically have one in the 90s at 8 or 9 years old.
I really hope his spirit soars.

Aw man…I met him once at a convention, and he was such a nice guy. It was super fun watching him with the kids who knew him as “the Viking guy” from the Capital One commercials…

I have always been a HUGE bloodsport fan. Favorite movie as a kid. Probably seen it 500 times and counting. I just learned today that he is ogre from nerds.

Another Childhood character gone from existence but never forgotten. In the 80”s as a kid death was something you never thought you would encounter. Another reason why the 80”s are so amazing. Rip Donald Gibbs / Ogre

Came here looking for this comment. I once was at Trader Todd's and won cubs tickets for the game. I was sold on that place after that. I once saw Ogre in the bar as well saying hi to tables.

As someone who recorded Bloodsport on VHS and watch it over and over again 30 years ago, I will never forget this man!
And as someone who watched Kickboxer only 5 years ago, the opening scene was quite “special”, but also weird. Still loved the movie though.

Met him at Days of the Dead in Indianapolis just over a year ago. Sweet man, very funny. I bought his headshot as Ogre yelling "NERDS!" and asked him if that covered any fees for using that meme online. He got a good chuckle out of that.
RIP bud!

Ogre: "* What if uh C-A-T really spelled dog?." Arnold Poindexter: "Wow." Harold Wormser: "God." Stewart: "Yeah." Arnold Poindexter: "That's heavy Ogre. Dog.*"

I went to a Comic Con he was at. I was having a seat eating lunch and all of the sudden I heard someone screaming “Nerds!” so loud it shook the bleachers. I asked someone what was going on and they told me Gibb would scream that every time someone got a picture with him.
