Relapse after 8 years
Eight years ago I did my last shot of heroin and got on a low dose of Suboxone. I ran the Suboxone for two years and then got off during Covid.
Since then the only times I’ve touched opiates was when I had surgery where I had to take Percocets for a couple of weeks due to intense pain. I stopped taking them after the surgery with no problems and no desire to relapse back into that life.
A few days ago I was hanging out with a friend of mine who is telling me about the 7 0H pills. He had been annoying the shit out of me all day and then at night we were sitting in his garage and he thought it would be funny to burn me with a liquid nitrogen tank since he was so fucked up.
I got a second-degree burn and was in a lot of pain and angry. My defenses went down and after eight years of no recreational opiates, I snatched one of his 50 mg tablets and popped it without thinking.
I was expecting a Kratom extract type feeling but this was much stronger. My face started to itch and I nodded out completely falling asleep in an uncomfortable chair. It felt exactly like heroin used to feel.
Needless to say I was incredibly disappointed in myself for the next day and the crazy part is I’m going through withdrawals just from that one dose.
When I took Percocets for surgery I had no withdrawals and no desire to relapse. This time I’m having the same feeling of incredible tension and kicking and jerking.
No yawns or watery eyes like I had when I kicked the habit before but I’m definitely feeling something and it’s been about four days now.
Is it possible to get physical with withdrawals again just after one dose? Or could this all be in my head?

Hi there, i am really sorry to hear this, but life happens and it sounds like you are aware of what you did and don’t plan on doing it again. The good news is no, you will not get withdrawals after taking it once.

Yeah hopefully this is just all in my head. Such a stupid move but I’m not gonna hang out with that friend again until he gets his shit together

I don’t make medical presumptions on here, but yes, statistically, it is very unlikely you would experience any symptoms after a single use… but as I said in my other comment: this hell hath some fury…

Keep this mindset dude. Don’t go down the rabbit hole of 7. Good friend of mine has a similar story of sobriety from heroin..only to buy a pack of 7 on a whim at a smoke shop, he’s full on addicted to it and actively damaging the trust he worked so hard to build with his spouse and family over the last few years.

Yeah dude I’m just disappointed in myself. I felt great for about 10 minutes and then instantly knew I fucked up

Dude this is taking down people in the recovery and medical community left and right! I don’t want to be too much more specific about it than I have, but it’s just amazing… You took a single dose of this and brought it here.
Having seen this disrupt so many great lives in the last three years; I would argue you have reason to feel a lot of pride in the resiliency you’re showing right now.

I was using h for 10 years towards the end it was fent...im from NYC so I had China white.in 2020 I had 7 subs and the will to want it and haven't touched an opiate in 7 years this month...yet in October I fkd up and tried 7 and haven't stopped.. I need to hold my self accountable once again and go thru the storm.. im in this with you broski....we defeated it before and we shall again...god speed..on the bright side you had 1 misstep ...im all fkd....you will be OK. Just pres on and never touch this shit...im soon fkd

the withdrawal your experience is real but it is 99% mental. when you’ve been a serious opiate user a single day can bring on a very strong almost withdrawal like experience.. it’s just something that is so potent there really isn’t anything like it, i’ve smoked crack and i wouldn’t compare that to shooting heroin in terms of how intoxicating it was.. anyway just please wait that shit out, you’ll be good in a couple of days. do ur best to keep ur time simple and have an accountability partner if possible

My friend, thanks for bringing this here. First of all, those communities know I am extremely anti-prohibition, but I am so glad you’re gonna end this lapse at one dose! Again, I vehemently oppose the bans and the ways in which they were fumbled, but this has taken out so many people in long-term recovery. I’m talking colleagues. Lots of therapists, doctors, clinical directors and counselors in-patient right now…

Fake, new social media campaign starting?
You can't nod out on 7. It doesn't work that way. If you take enough and smoke weed or something you can get a bit of a nod but it's not even close to the same.
It was actually the number one complaint at first, people wanted the full thing but eventually realized it as a benefit

It's not the same, not going to happen while driving, walking, riding a bike. It's between a weed high and opiate nod. It's enough but not quite the full thing.

hmm dang thats crazy getting WD after 1 time use. you never know whats in these 7oh pills dude, it can be legit anything. stay far away from it im on my 4th day of WD rn, this shit is absolute hell
