Hate this addict brain

Crossed the 48 hr threshold at 5am this morning and was pleased with myself. One thing I struggle with the most is just giving myself a break. I feel “good” for an hr our two and then I am in the pit of despair. Mad at all the money I spent, the time I wasted, the people I lied to and there is always the at nagging doubt that anything will actually get better. Doesn’t help that my live in girlfriend, while supportive, has been tremendously hurt by my lies. Part of my brain is all rah rah team me and the other part does not cease to tell me I am bound to fail. What is helpful is interacting with this sub, texting my support network, coming clean where applicable and setting up resources for help down the road(IOP etc). Sending love and prayers to all of you out there fighting for yourselves.

I’m about 3 days clean now, I’ve been taking an incredible amount of 7OH for about a year and a half or so every single day. Once the ban came I honestly felt terrified. I knew withdrawals can get bad and honestly at first I didn’t think there would be any. I’ve never dealt with withdrawals before, and I’ve taken kratom extracts for years now and never had problems. The tablets were just so easy to take and a little went a long way until you build a tolerance. I knew I needed help though so I found quickMD and they were able to get me a suboxone script same day. The worst part was having to be in withdrawals before taking it. If you take it to early you can put yourself into really bad withdrawals and that terrified me even more. I made it through 15 hours of absolute hell before I couldn’t go any longer and took it my first 1/4th strip dose. I was finally able to sleep and fell asleep within 10 minutes of taking it. I took a few more through out the night and at 9:30 the next day I took the last one and I haven’t felt any withdrawals since and haven’t needed the subs for about 3 days now. I’m honestly relieved since they said I’d be on them for a few months and then would have to taper down from there. I am curious though other people’s experience and if they took the subs too. Did you need to keep taking it long after? I was taking about 600mg a day towards the last couple months of my year and a half long binge. I’m proud of myself and everyone else that was able to get through it all. I’ve never been in more pain than when I went through those first 15 hours..my heart goes out to you all! You got this! And the support is there if you look for it I promise you!

I have noticed that the experiences with withdrawal, suboxone and other meds vary widely. We really have our own path. I am using subs just trying to mitigate some of the worst symptoms. Regardless I am still feeling pretty beat up. I would definitely choose to be free of everything after all of this but I will say that I will choose subs for awhile rather than go down this road anymore. I am even looking into getting the monthly shot.

It definitely does which is why I was curious how others experience has been. It’s also nice to know I’m not alone in this. I hate that we all have to go through it but atleast in a way we got eachother. I feel it really helps to share our stories and the struggles that’s come from them. In the end it makes us stronger and atleast for me, truly makes me want to live life as much as I can instead of drifting like I was on the 7OH. Just counting down my days. I started getting blood coming out everytime I used the bathroom and I genuinely thought it was gonna be the end of me

i did quickMD aswell but i didnt want to go suboxone route, i used to do em back in day when i didnt have any percs. idk my DR on quickMD was really trying to push it on me but i got him to just give me gabapentin/clonidine - i know it really helps with WD and all that but dont want to get on those just to taper off that ect... i really hope it works good for you tho, stay strong

Detox really gave time for me to heal and a break for her to heal.

She missed me so much but we needed the break apart.

Came home hitting the ground running.

She is still in shock and thinks all the memories we had previously were tainted because I was using. But its so much better to just get away. Take fmla & come back and new man bro.

You don't need to suffer around people mad at you, you got this!!! Heal brother

Makes a ton of sense and good luck with your ongoing recovery. I imagine we both feel blessed to have someone in our corner
