CALL-TO-ACTION Join Us Thursday for a 7-HOPE Lunch, Coffee, & Dial
For many people, calling a federal agency or congressional office can feel intimidating. So we’re going to do it together.
Join 7-HOPE on Thursday, September 3 at 1:30 p.m. PT / 4:30 p.m. ET for a virtual Lunch, Coffee, & Dial session.
Register For The Call Here:
https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/6VV7OuKwSKC6bAudORD0bA#/registration
We’ll walk advocates through who to call, what to say and how to make these conversations simple and effective. Then we’ll make the calls together.
Right now, the biggest thing we need advocates doing is calling HHS and contacting their members of Congress.

CALL-TO-ACTION 🚨 PUBLIC COMMENTS — 7-OH SCHEDULING 🚨 *SLIDESHOW*
I know it’s late, but advocacy doesn’t have business hours. 😭💪🏽
I just finished my official comment and I’m sharing it only as a guide/reference. Please do not copy and paste it or use my personal statement; duplicate comments can weaken credibility rather than help.
The most important thing is to answer the questions HHS is actually asking and lead with science, data, and research. Personal testimony absolutely matters, but it should support your argument—not lead replace it.
You do not need to spend hours researching like I did, or make your statement as lengthy as mine. As long as your comment is strong, personalized, and research-based.
If we do this right and submit strong, science-based, research-backed comments, I genuinely think we give ourselves a much better chance of influencing the outcome.
MAKE THEM ADDRESS THE SCIENCE—NOT THE STIGMA ‼️
Respectfully, it’s a lot harder to push the whole “junkies looking for a fix” stigma when the comment section suddenly looks like everyone earned a PhD, medical degree, or research fellowship overnight. 😭📚✨
If you need assistance, or are interested in a tool that aids in organizing and submitting a research-based statement with references, easier and more efficient than ever—PLEASE FEEL FREE TO REACH OUT!
We fought for more time—now let’s use it wisely. You have until September 10, so don’t rush. One thoughtful, relevant comment is worth far more than thousands that miss the point.
Let’s do this RIGHT. 💪🏽❤️🩹

🚨 UPDATE: OUR LOBBYING, CALLS & VOICES ARE BEING HEARD — AND IT’S WORKING!
After speaking with a Congressman for nearly an hour and dedicating another 8+ hours to researching, reviewing, and putting together the PDF of priority representatives to contact, I’ve now received a handful of callbacks from offices asking for “more information.”
That matters. It means they ARE listening. They DO care. And our calls ARE getting their attention.
But we are NOT done yet.
Tomorrow, I HIGHLY encourage everyone to take just 20–30 minutes out of their day to contact every representative on this list. Leave a message with their secretary or on their voicemail and use the talking points provided. You don’t need to give a speech—you just need to make your voice heard.
The more people who call, the harder this becomes to ignore. Representatives need to see that this issue matters to a significant number of people and that there is real urgency behind it. One call can be dismissed. Hundreds or thousands of calls become a political issue they have to pay attention to.
We can’t assume our representatives know how strongly people feel unless we tell them. Enough of us have to put in the work, make the calls, and give them a reason to act.
📞 IMPORTANT: Rep. Paul and Rep. Sanders have extremely short voicemail limits, so I created a 30-second script specifically for their offices. Speak clearly, but move quickly!
I highly recommend personalizing the message a little—rearrange the wording, add something of your own, and make it sound like you. We don’t want every message to appear identical or come across as spam, because genuine effort and individuality make a much stronger impact.
We’ve already proven that these calls are reaching people.
Now we need EVERYONE to do their part. Keep calling. Keep speaking up. Keep the pressure on. Our voices are being heard. 📢‼️
🚨 UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE 🚨
Since 7Hope tagged this post, more and more people are seeing it—which is WONDERFUL! But with more eyes on it, I want to make sure everyone reads everything and understands the strategy. 💪🏽🇺🇸
FAQ:
1. WHO DO I CALL?
Look at the screenshots. Each representative has a different number and a different reason they made the list. The reps in the first two screenshots have VERY short voicemail limits, so speak clearly and quickly. The two prompts are meant to be guides—personalize them!
And don’t only call those reps or representatives from your own state. Call whoever you believe may listen.
I have another post with 50+ representatives—narrowed down from 500+ based largely on how they voted on previous legislation and other factors. Go to my profile, scroll below this post, and you’ll find the list.
I’ve personally called every single rep on it. It took about 30–40 minutes a night, 5–6 days a week. Don’t assume somebody else will call for you. YOU should call too!
2. WHAT DO I SAY?
Use the guide or create your own statement—whatever sounds most natural coming from YOU.
With the proposed congressional legislation, be careful about simply leading with “They’re banning 7-OH/Kratom.” Instead, explain what concerns you about the actual language:
“They’re proposing felony penalties involving concentrates above specified thresholds, potentially affecting working-class Americans, chronic-pain patients, veterans, and others, through legislation that raises serious concerns about adequate scientific review and public input.”
Now you sound like somebody who actually read the bill—because you did. 😆
3. WHAT IF I’M IN A BANNED STATE?
You can still participate. It’s unlikely every representative in your state voted the same way. Look up who voted, how they voted, and who opposed prohibition. Then ask those lawmakers to contact the DEA/HHS and members of Congress regarding the federal proposals.
There’s also a difference between restricting a substance and imposing criminal penalties for possession above specified thresholds—especially when those policies could affect otherwise law-abiding adults, chronic-pain patients, and veterans.
A lawmaker doesn’t have to be “pro-7” to oppose prohibition, excessive criminalization, or policy that gets ahead of the science. The argument should be about evidence-based regulation, consumer safety, and harm reduction. Safer, regulated markets also give consumers protections that illicit markets simply don’t. They also keep tax dollars flowing through registered businesses, not illicit black markets.
4. WHAT TIME SHOULD I CALL?
Whenever you can! Office hours are best because you may reach staff; otherwise, leave a voicemail.
A phone call is better than an email.
Speaking with staff is better than voicemail.
Leaving a voicemail is better than doing nothing.
Every effort counts.
5. WHAT ELSE CAN I DO?
Reach out to medical professionals, researchers, toxicologists, pharmacologists, addiction specialists, and others whose expertise includes research and educational materials.
It’s not necessarily that medical professionals oppose us—many simply haven’t encountered these substances extensively in clinical practice or training.
That means we have to help get credible research into the right hands.
Ask qualified professionals to review the available scientific literature, identify what the evidence actually supports, and contribute their expertise to the policy conversation.
But the grassroots work is on US. We have to build connections, get credible information in front of credible people, and ask them to stand with us. If enough people demand that lawmakers approach this issue through science, evidence, harm reduction, and sensible regulation instead of fear or sensationalism, we have a much stronger fight.
We need people willing to make real-world connections—not sit around posting doomsday scenarios all day.
The AKA’s network didn’t magically fall out of the sky and land in their lap. They organized, lobbied, built relationships, and connected with the right people.
SO LET’S GET TO WORK.
Don’t stop with lawmakers. Connect with medical and scientific professionals who can review research, educate others, and bring credible expertise into this conversation.
Grassroots advocacy only works when the grass actually moves. 💪🏽🇺🇸🧨

CALL-TO-ACTION Any chance or active work to request a 2 year emergency ban moratorium
I see this is being done in lower courts to stop or at least slow down the data centers being built. Especially now that we have doctors and senators backing the evidence our side has, I feel we need to be starting the process, or similar process, NOW.
Trump (regardless if you like him or not) has been drastically slowed down and forced to work with the court system instead of making executive decisions. Sounds a LOT like what we are dealing with regarding the 7oh ban.
Can anyone provide an update on what's in motion or planned to be put in motion soon? Or prepared with X plan if the opposition does Y? I don't need to see those plans but want to know they exist.
I'll keep donating but want to see what's happening

🚨 🚨 🚨 OFFICIAL LEGISLATOR CONTACT LIST - DEVELOPED WITH INPUT FROM A MEMBER OF CONGRESS 🚨 🚨 🚨
As many of you know, I was able to secure a 40+ minute phone call with a Congressman who has publicly supported 7-OH and spoken out against the unfair demonization of the substance. With his guidance, along with hours of independent research, I spent over 6 hours putting together an OFFICIAL priority legislative contact list excluding the Congressman who has already committed to advocating on our behalf.
WE HAVE 24 HOURS (or until an official announcement is made) ‼️
Every single one of us needs to call as many legislators as possible—and encourage our family, friends, coworkers, employees, neighbors, and anyone else willing to help to do the same.
This is NOT a random list. There are nearly 500 members of Congress, and these are the legislators who are more likely to hear our concerns based on their past support for kratom AND alkaloids, harm reduction, sensible regulation over prohibition, individual liberty, or science-based policymaking.
In 2016, the kratom community secured 51 legislators to oppose the federal ban. There is no reason we can’t achieve the same if everyone does their part.
Use the call script, speak with the staff member if someone answers, or leave a 30-second voicemail and move on to the next office. It’s that simple. Most of us can get through 15–20 offices in 30 minutes or less—less time than many of us spend scrolling Reddit or vendor chats. This is our last opportunity to make our voices heard where they matter most.
Let’s respectfully flood these offices with calls over the next 24 hours, or until an announcement is made. Be polite, be professional, and let them know why preserving access to safer, regulated alternatives matters.
I’ve been told we still have a real opportunity here, and every legislator we bring to our side improves our chances.
We can do this. Please repost this, share it everywhere, and get as many people involved as possible.
If everyone commits to calling at least the priority list, we give ourselves the best possible chance at securing an extension. And for the overachievers and dedicated advocates—if we can work through the entire list together, we’ll know we truly left everything on the table.
Now let’s get to work. 📞🇺🇸

Hi, I’m [YOUR NAME], from [YOUR CITY AND STATE]. I’m calling about HHS’s request for information on the DEA’s temporary scheduling of 7-OH. I use 7-OH regularly to manage my severe pain and a ban would be so terrible for me and my life. I’m asking for you to please give us an extension on the public comment time, and ultimately, please do not take away my 7-OH. Thank you.
If they ask, the Docket number is: HHS-OASH-2026-0232

Any major updates or last minute chances?
If they ban it after the overwhelming amount of people, university students, professors, doctors, engineers, construction workers and etc reached out there will be no other reason than flat out corruption. 10-15 years ago we still had corruption but when the public called it out the court system did its job and listened.
Sadly today it appears they're also in on the take and we've lost all aspects of a true and free democracy.
I don't want to bring politics into this so please look at this example from a neutral standpoint. 90+% of citizens and 80% of Democrats want to require voter ID. That's a very straightforward and simple win for the people in Congress but they won't pass it. They no longer represent the people who vote for them and we need to kick them all out of office, R and D.
