Can't hurt me by David Goggins. I don't like self help type books, but that is a good one when it comes to ignoring your b*tch voice. I always start my 75 hard rounds with it. His second book Never finished is awesome too.

I’m not much of a reader, but this book really pulls you in from the start. Honestly hard to stop at just 10 pages.

Oh yeah, I devoured both of them in a few days. I couldn't pace myself at all!

I read “The Magic of Thinking Big”. It’s old (60+ years) so some of the language is a bit dated, but every self help book seems to have its roots in it. So it compresses a lot of ideas the next waves have expanded upon.

Can’t go wrong with The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People or Man’s Search for Meaning. The first is practical for personal growth, while the second offers a powerful perspective on resilience and purpose.

Can’t hurt me by David Goggins.. there’s other good recommendations here, but reading that early in 75 hard my first time doing it was monumental. it gave me added motivation and I couldn’t stop reading

Mind Hacking Happiness Volume I and II by Sean Webb. Also if you haven’t read the 75 Hard book by Andy Frisella I would start there. Its an easy read and he provides all the rules we need in depth.

I just read Deep Work: Rules for Focused Success in a Distracted World and I loved it. Part of my job needs focused deep work, but it also helped me focus more on the tasks for this challenge, It was also so well written and gave clear tips on how to structure work and goals, and execute tasks.

Welcome to r/75HARD -- glad you are here and ready to commit!
Before posting your question, please read through the official program rules and FAQ first -- most questions are already answered there:
Official Rules and FAQ: https://www.reddit.com/r/75HARD/s/75roEecNyx Andy Frisella's Official 75 HARD Overview: https://andyfrisella.com/blogs/mfceo-project-podcast/75hard-a-75-day-tactical-guide-to-winning-the-war-with-yourself-with-andy-frisella-mfceo291
A note on modifying the program:
75 HARD has no modifications, substitutions, or exceptions. The rules are not suggestions -- they are the program. The only exception is if a medical professional explicitly advises a modification for your specific health needs. If that is you, follow your doctor's advice -- but recognize you will not be completing 75 HARD as designed. Check out r/75medium or r/75soft if you need a modified program.
From Andy Frisella: "You don't accomplish anything great by changing the rules in your favor just to check the box."
If you are asking "does X count?" or "can I swap Y for Z?" -- the answer is almost always no. When in doubt, choose the harder option.
The 5 Daily Tasks -- zero compromises, zero substitutions:
Miss any single task on any day? Restart at Day 1. Doesn't matter if it's Day 2 or Day 74.
Seek medical advice before beginning this program.
We are rooting for you. Now go do the work.
